Fury suffers first loss

Incredibly, in his 36th career fight, Fury finally lost his undefeated record in the first clash with Usyk.

Fury had only ever drawn one professional fight before, his WBC world heavyweight title bout with Deontay Wilder in 2018 - and even that was a controversial outcome.

The rest of the Gypsy King's 34 outings ended in victory - 24 in knockout - with his debut coming all the way back in 2008.

All of which means Fury's record stands at 34-1-1 ahead of the latest Riyadh rumble.

Usyk still spotless

Usyk made his professional boxing debut relatively late - in 2013, aged 26 - having won heavyweight gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games, outpointing Artur Beterbiev along the way.

Since then, Usyk has racked up 22 fights - with 22 wins.

Usyk has often fought at a disadvantage in terms of size and reach at heavyweight, but no one has yet worked out how to get the better of him.

Fury had his moments in their first meeting, but it was perhaps Daniel Dubois who came closest to breaking Usyk's spotless record back in August 2023, appearing to hurt the Ukrainian to the body, but it being ruled a low blow.
