England will be looking for a reaction in the second T20 match of their five-match series in India, having fallen to a thumping seven-wicket defeat in the opening match in Kolkata. Where did it go wrong for England?
Tilak: 'We prepared well and got the result'
Player of the match Tilak Varma: "The wicket was slightly two-paced. The team discussed that the left-right combination will be a good option, it will be difficult for opposition bowlers as well.
"Archer and Wood are quick, our guys were well prepared, we worked hard in the nets and we got the results that we wanted."
Buttler: 'There are lots of positives'
England captain Jos Buttler: "It was a great game and it was really exciting there at the end and all credit to Tilak getting them over the line.
"I thought we were really aggressive, we pushed them, we were really close. I was really happy with the style that we played in. We were nearly up to a defendable score.
"I am really happy with the performance and there are lots of positives. "

England are back in the game.
Brydon Carse hits it in short, and Dhruv Jurel attempts to pull it away, but he mistimes the shot, sending it to Rehan Ahmed at short midwicket.
It didn’t seem like it carried, and there’s little celebration or appeal, but the wicket stands!

Rashid enters with his leg spin, focusing on clever variations and turn rather than speed.
Tilak and Jurel manage only singles.

Tilak goes for broke on the last ball of the over, attempting a big shot through the off-side, but misses as Carse's back-of-a-length delivery sails over his bat.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav arrives at the crease and powers his first ball for a boundary square on the off side, much to the crowd's delight.
He follows it up with a beautifully timed late cut off a slower delivery, sending it racing to the boundary for another four. Excellent technique from the skipper.
WICKET! Samson C Carse B Archer 5 - India 19-2
That was some super bowling from Archer. Samson is late on his pull shot to a fast Archer delivery, edging it into the leg side, fielders are sparse.
The outcome is different as he swings at another quick bouncer and finds Carse at deep square.

Tilak Varma is the new man at teh stumps. Hitting a straight single.

England start the innings with pace, as Wood bowls the second over following Archer's first.
Wood gets an on-field lbw decision against the boundary-hitting Abhishek, who reviews it.

Stepping outside leg stump, unleashing a stylish four over extra cover off Jofra Archer.
A fantastic shot! He follows it up with another four, a bit lucky with the edge, but it never looked in danger.
The Chase begins!
India are favorites, but England have a competitive total to work with.
Jofra Archer takes the new ball. He starts with a short delivery that Samson deflects for a quick single, before Archer beats Abhishek's bat.
Archer looks sharp, but the next ball sees Abhishek hit it over for a boundary.

A fairly average and decent total for this pitch, which is 170.
England will need to bowl well if they are to stand within a chance of winning.

Pace returns to the attack with Arshdeep Singh, who starts with a wide over Archer's head.
He controls the over well until the final ball, when Archer creates some space and cuts it to the off-side boundary.

Carse and Overton struggle with Bishnoi's variations, scoring just three singles.
Bishnoi returns to bowl another tight over, and England adds only three more runs.

Captain Jos Buttler tries to launch Axar Patel over mid-wicket for six but falls short, with Tilak Varma taking a simple catch at the boundary.

England continue to move forward with singles.
Livingstone is looking to attack, it could prove costly.

Buttler is careful with his shots, looking to find the gaps.
Livngstone is the new batter and he's already tried twice to to hit Ravi Bishnoi for a big shot, but falls short.

Liam Livingstone scores a single off his first ball, but England only adds three runs in the over.
At this point, they can't afford to lose another wicket too quickly.

Brook goes!

India makes another bowling change, bringing on Varun Chakravarthy to bowl more spin.
Chakravarthy's first delivery results in a strong lbw appeal as it hits Buttler on the pad, but the umpire denies it.
India opts for DRS.

Ravi Bishnoi enters the attack, and Buttler welcomes him by launching a massive six down the ground to bring England past 50.
The rest of the over is played more cautiously, yielding 11 runs in total. The powerplay wraps up evenly balanced overall.

Brook is back with a bang.
Axar Patel enters the attack, but England's star batter makes an immediate impact, smashing a six straight down the ground.
He follows it up with a beautifully driven four through the off-side. For the first time in this match and series, England could have India under pressure.

Buttler seems unfazed and smashes Washington over mid-wicket for another 6.
A diving effort on the boundary falls short as the ball powers through.

England's momentum is short-lived.
Duckett attempts a reverse sweep off Washington Sundar's first ball, but it clips his pad and lobs into the air.
Dhruv Jurel takes a simple catch, with both of India's replacements combining for the wicket.

Buttler turns up the heat, smashing a short ball from Singh into the leg side for four.
He follows it with a flat-batted drive down the ground for two, narrowly avoiding a catch.
Then, he launches a full slower delivery for the first six of the innings and caps off the over with a stunning cut through the covers for another four. A game-changing over puts England back in contention.
ENGLAND 10-1 (Over 2): Buttler 2, duckett 3
Duckett is good to continue and takes a single off the next ball, giving himself a moment to regroup.
Buttler, England's standout performer with 68 runs in the first match, starts cautiously but attempts a big hit on the final delivery.
He only manages a faint connection, and the ball dribbles into the leg side for a single to close the over. India keeps control, conceding just two runs in this one.

Buttler opens his account with a single nudged into the leg side on his first ball.
Duckett follows up with a run of his own to close out the first over. India will be thrilled with how things have begun.

Phil Salt's struggles continue as he falls cheaply again.
After managing just four runs from four balls, he attempts a hook off Arshdeep Singh's short, wide delivery.
The ball soars into the sky, landing straight into Washington Sundar's hands at square leg with ease.
