The 88th edition rolls out from Middelkerke for the first time in 2026, the key driver behind the name change.

Is Tadej Pogacar racing?
Tadej Pogacar, fresh from finally cracking Milano-Sanremo on Saturday, is not on the start list.
His focus now shifts to the Tour of Flanders on April 5, before another tilt at Paris-Roubaix on April 12 - the one Monument still missing from his palmares. Both races will be live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.
"He has one more Monument to win and he has completed cycling," TNT Sports expert Adam Blythe said after his victory in Italy. "He has Roubaix to win and then the Vuelta."
Pogacar will go for a record-equalling fifth Tour de France title in July, but he is unlikely to ride the Vuelta this season.
