Cycling's oldest Monument returns Sunday as Liege-Bastogne-Liege marks its 111th edition. Tadej Pogacar aims to retain his title in the men's race, with Remco Evenepoel and Tom Pidcock among those out to stop him, while Lotte Kopecky and Demi Vollering renew their rivalry in the women's race. Liege-Bastogne-Liege is the oldest of cycling's five Monuments, and the iconic event will return on Sunday for another exciting day of action.
Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) will be hoping to defend his crown when the 111th edition of the race gets underway this weekend, but there are a number of world-class riders ready and waiting to capitalise on any mistakes.
The men's peloton have been competing on the famous route from Liege to Bastogne and back since 1892 - and every year since 1945 - and the 19th stop on the 2025 UCI World Tour is sure to offer even more surprises this time around.
The women finally got an event on the calendar in 2017, with Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez) chasing a record third title in 2025.
With all that in mind, here is everything you need to know ahead of the event.

Who is riding Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2025?
Pogacar will be the man to beat as he looks to retain his title at the famous event.
But he will face stiff competition from Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), one week on from them being stunned by Mattias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek) at Amstel Gold Race last week. Could the Dane stage a shock repeat on Sunday?
Britain's Tom Pidcock (Q36.5) is also among the starters.
In the women's race, former team-mates turned rivals Vollering and Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx-Protime) will square off. No woman has ever won the race three times. Could Vollering be about to change that?
What is the route?
The men's race gets underway in the centre of Liege before following a 95km route southward to the city of Bastogne.
The riders will then follow the winding roads back up to Liege to complete the near 260km route.
Meanwhile, the women's route begins in Bastogne and finishes in Liege, standing at 159.2km.
