Kimberley Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) won the first classics of her career at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes, but there was a moment of madness during the race when a spectator joined the route on a bike. Fortunately, the intruder was removed by the race marshals without causing any injuries or further disruptions, setting the stage for a dramatic finish that saw Le Court come out on top.

There was a moment of madness at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes as a spectator joined the race before being removed by marshals.
The TNT Sports commentary team was left stunned after an amateur on a bike rode alongside Antonia Niedermaier (Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto), Cedrine Kerbaol (EF Education-Oatly) and Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime).
After the intruder was removed, Kimberley Le Court (AG Insurance-Soudal) came out on top in the race, securing the first classics triumph of her career following a dramatic finish.
The TNT Sports commentary team described the moment as ridiculous.
"It's a good move from Antonia Niedermaier, just to get the cross, just closing that gap, so we have got someone jumping in on the race here.
"You can ride along the bike path, but interrupting the race is ridiculous, so gladly the marshal has taken them off the race route.

"It gives us three leaders, Antonia Niedermaier, Cedrine Kerbaol, Anna van der Breggen is here, Anna van der Breggen, the winner of this race in 2017.
"Someone diving in here, it's not funny, it's not big and it's not clever.
"This is absolutely ridiculous that you would have a spectator riding alongside the riders.
"They need to be taken off of the road immediately."
Puck Pieterse (Alpecin-Deceuninck) finished in second, while Demi Vollering (FDJ SUEZ) took third.
