The first Monument of the season will get underway this weekend. Tadej Pogacar and Mathieu van der Poel will both be in action as Milano-Sanremo returns to our screens. Jasper Philipsen will be hoping to defend his crown, and for the first time since 2005, fans will be able to watch a women's race on the famous route. With that in mind, here is how to catch all the action.

Milano-Sanremo is here this weekend, as cycling fans wait to see who comes out on top at the first Monument of the season.
The race is a gruelling test for any rider, with a 300km route along the Ligurian coast.
Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin–Deceuninck) will be hoping to defend his crown after he stormed to victory in 2024.
However, with the likes of Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), Tom Pidcock (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) and 2023 winner Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin–Deceuninck) included on the start list, it looks certain to be a closely-fought contest.
A women's equivalent of the famous race will be held for the first time since 2005.

Who is riding Milano–Sanremo 2025?
The last four winners of the men's event are all set to feature this weekend.
Last year's champion Philipsen and 2023 winner Van der Poel are both on the start list, as are the fastest riders from 2022 and 2021 Matej Mohoric (Bahrain Victorious) and Jasper Stuyven (Lidl-Trek) respectively.
Pogacar will be there, as will Pidcock following his sixth-placed finish in the general classification of Tirreno-Adriatico 2025.
The likes of Marianne Vos (Visma–Lease a Bike), Demi Vollering (FDJ–Suez) and Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx–Protime) are all included on the start list for the first women's race since 2005.
What is the route for Milano–Sanremo 2025?
The route of Milano-Sanremo takes riders from the town of Pavia just outside Milan to the coastal commune of Sanremo.
It has two tough climbs near the end of the route, the Cipressa and Poggio, but there are still plenty of opportunities for sprinters to shine.
For that reason, it has traditionally been regarded as the Monument that favours sprinters.
