The fourth edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is under way as the peloton navigates a nine-stage, 1,169-km route from Brittany to the Alps.
Demi Vollering (FDJ Suez), Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (Visma-Lease a Bike) and Giro d’Italia winner Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE ADQ) and are among the riders looking to knock reigning champion Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon–SRAM zondacrypto) off her perch and claim the most iconic jersey in cycling, after last year’s GC battle was decided by four seconds.
One of the most dramatic cycling days of the decade so far, all eyes now turn to the 2025 race which does not feature a time trial so promises tight time gaps once again.
Meanwhile there are three more jerseys on offer, and a total prize pot of €250,000 to be distributed. But how is that broken down? How much does the winner of the yellow jersey get, and what is on offer at the finish line of each stage? What about the other classifications? Here is how all the cash is dished out at the Tour de France Femmes…
How much money does the winner of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift get?
Every edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift has awarded €50,000 to the winner, and this year is no different with that prize equivalent to around £43,700.
However, no rider wins the yellow jersey without any help, so that is divided between team-mates and staff rather than the champion keeping it all.
The same traditionally goes for the rest of the top 20 who also receive prize money for their final finishing position.
- 1st (yellow jersey winner): €50,000
- 2nd: €25,000
- 3rd: €10,000
- 4th: €8,000
- 5th: €4,000
- 6th: €3,000
- 7th: €2,000
- 8th-10th: €1,500 each
- 11th-15th: €1,200 each

Additionally, the holder of the yellow jersey each day pockets €100.

The prize money for each stage totals €10,000, as the first 20 riders over the finish line are in line to boost their bank balances.
There may not be an all-out sprint for 15th place but if a small breakaway wins and the bunch fights over the minor places behind, this is the reason:

- 3rd: €1,000
- 4th: €500
- 5th: €400
- 6th: €300
- 7th: €240
- 8th-10th: €170 each
- 11th-15th: €110 each
- 16th-20th: €100 each
How much prize money for the green, polka dot and white jerseys?
Like the yellow jersey, the top riders in the points (green), mountains (polka dot) and best young rider (white) classifications are compensated for their efforts over the nine stages, while the rider wearing each jersey each day is awarded €100 and the best finisher per stage under 23 years of age makes €100 too.

What are the intermediate sprint and mountain bonuses at the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift?
The men’s Tour de France saw a bizarre crash this year when Cofidis’ Benjamin Thomas lost control sprinting for the second categorised climb of the race and brought down Matteo Vercher (TotalEnergies), an incident that made more sense given the polka-dot prize money available both at the summit and at the end of the day.

Even if the breakaway is unsuccessful, a day as the peloton’s carrot can still be profitable by hoovering up the the prizes on the road before the finish line, and it is no different in the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
Intermediate sprints are easy (to understand, not win) as the top three riders over the line get €120, €70 and €30 respectively, but the mountains prizes are where it gets complicated with different sums available depending on the difficulty of the climb.
The toughest climbs, marked ‘hors categorie’ (HC) award €160 for first place, €100 for second and €50 for third while the Cat.1 climbs also have money on offer for the first three riders at the summit: €120, €70 and €50.
Meanwhile the top two at the summit of Cat 2. climbs earn €80 and €40, while only the winners cash in at the top of Cat 3. and Cat 4. peaks, with €60 and €30 available respectively.
Combativity and team prizes - What other cash is up for grabs?
Each stage a jury decides the rider who showed the best fighting spirit that day, and they take part in the podium presentations alongside the stage winners and jersey holders.
The combativity award is designed to reward the riders who animate the stage even if they finish empty-handed, and the daily prize is worth the same as a fourth-placed finish at €500. There is a further €2,000 prize for the winner of the ‘super-combativity award’, handed out to the most aggressive and attacking rider over the course of the nine stages.
Finally, the team classification is based on the cumulative time of a team’s best three riders, and has a total prize pool of €16,300.
Like the jerseys, the team that tops the standings each day earns €200, and there is money on offer for the top five teams in the classification at the end of the race:
