How to watch Stage 6 of the 2024 Tour de France on Thursday – TV and live stream details as Mark Cavendish eyes win

After making history on Wednesday with his record-breaking 35th Tour de France stage win, Mark Cavendish will look to go back-to-back on Stage 6. A flat 163.5km ride from Macon to Dijon promises to be another day for the sprinters - including the Manx Missile. So how can you watch the action unfold?

He couldn't... could he? After making history on Stage 5 with his record-setting 35th Tour de France stage win, Mark Cavendish will have another chance on Thursday.
Stage 6 provides another opportunity for the sprinters as the peloton head along a flat 163.5km route from Macon to Dijon.
There were tears of joy and raucous celebrations on Wednesday when Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan) moved ahead of the legendary Eddie Merckx to claim the long sought-after stage record for himself.
With that pressure off his shoulders, the Manx Missile could look to go back-to-back and enter the race for the green jersey currently held by Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty).
Of course, there are plenty of rivals looking to stop him.
Last year's green jersey winner Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) is yet to claim a stage this time around, while Girmay will fancy his chances again after victory in Stage 3.

Arnaud De Lie (Lotto Dstny), Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco AlUla) and Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) may all gun for the line too.
Proceedings get underway in Macon and there is only one categorised climb to get through, the Col du Bois Clair after only 10km.

How can I watch STAGE 6 OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE?
Watch Stage 6 of the 2024 Tour de France on Thursday, July 4 from 12:00 BST on Eurosport 1, while you can watch ad-free on discovery+.
The UK coverage will again be bookended by The Breakaway, presented by Orla Chennaoui, who will be joined by 12-time stage winner Robbie McEwen, former Olympic champion Dani Rowe and former national champion Adam Blythe.
Rob Hatch and Carlton Kirby will share hosting duties in the Eurosport commentary box, with four-time green jersey Sean Kelly, McEwen, Rowe and Blythe for company.
The enigmatic Jens Voigt (Stages 1-9), Matt Stephens (Stages 10-15) and Blythe (Stages 16-21) will bring you closer to the action from the back of the motorbike.
