Remco Evenepoel pledges future to Soudal-Quickstep for 2025 season amid Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe rumours - 'No transfers'

Remco Evenepoel will be riding for Soudal-Quickstep for the 2025 season, the Belgian has confirmed. There had been talk about a move to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, but he will be in Soudal-Quickstep colours next year, while his immediate focus is on the World Championships road race. Remco Evenepoel has committed his future to Soudal-Quickstep for the 2025 season.
The Belgian had been strongly linked with a move to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, but he confirmed on Friday that he would be remaining with his current team for at least another 12 months.
"I'll stay where I am, that's pretty clear," Evenepoel, who has a contract with Soudal-Quickstep until the end of the 2026 season, said. "No transfers."
Evenepoel is currently with his country, putting the finishing touches to his preparations for Sunday’s road race at the UCI World Road Championships - live on Eurosport and discovery+.
But the 2022 Vuelta a Espana winner is never far from speculation about his future.
Evenepoel was questioned on the links with Bora at a press conference on Friday, and said he read things about his future that he was not aware of.
"There has been speculation as always and I think some information was more than I knew myself, which was pretty funny to hear, but nothing changes," Evenepoel said, per Cycling News.
"I'll stay with my teammates. We'll work and fight for the biggest goal, that is to one day win the Tour de France."
Evenepoel is second favourite behind Tadej Pogacar for road race glory in Zurich, having won the time trial last weekend.
