Ronnie O'Sullivan to feature in Eurosport campaign celebrating four sporting icons and their passion for sport

Tina Maze, Alex Corretja, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Iris Slappendel will be the big sporting names featuring in a new campaign by Eurosport. Each of the quartet will be discussing how vital sport has been in their lives and what it means to them, with O'Sullivan discussing the hurdles he has had to overcome. Each of the four films have been produced in-house by Warner Bros. Discovery.

Four sporting icons are set to feature in a new brand campaign from Eurosport to unlock the power of sport through authentic storytelling of their sporting journeys.

Centering on double Olympic gold medallist Tina Maze, former tennis world No. 2 Alex Corretja, seven-time world snooker champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and cycling trailblazer Iris Slappendel, the four 45-second spots highlight why sport has been important to them during their illustrious careers – a message they continue to share through their passion for sport with audiences watching on Eurosport today.

From potting their first ball, hitting their first forehand, putting on their first pair of skis, or taking to the road on their bike for the first time – teaming up with Eurosport in their role as experts is the natural continuation of their sporting adventures that has taken each all over the world.

Eurosport to integrate with TNT Sports in UK and Ireland

The new campaign will go live across a suite of Warner Bros. Discovery’s platforms including Eurosport’s digital, linear and social platforms and CNN International, in addition to a new partnership with France 24.

The series kicks off with an episode starring Slovenian alpine skiing legend Tina Maze to coincide with the end of the winter sports season.

Going live ahead of the World Snooker Championships in April, the second part of the campaign will see Ronnie O’Sullivan elaborate on how he overcome significant hurdles in his life to reach the pinnacle of his sport.

From mid-May and ahead of Roland-Garros, a tournament which saw Alex Corretja reach the final twice, the Spanish personality and Eurosport tennis expert will explain why sport continues to bring him good vibes.

The fourth and final part in the series, which goes live in June ahead of the Tour de France, will see former Dutch cyclist Iris Slappendel reveal her inner thoughts about the gender bias she encountered – and how she overcame them - throughout her illustrious 12-year career in the sport.

Each of the four films have been produced in-house by Warner Bros. Discovery, supported by an independent production company. Each episode will be subtitled in different languages.
