Manchester City continued their stay atop the Women's Super League table with a 2-0 win over West Ham United on Sunday.
City came out of the blocks firing, opening the scoring inside 10 minutes through Lauren Hemp.
Mary Fowler showed her class as she brought the ball under her control on the edge of the area before feeding Hemp, who produced a delightful finish.
Dagny Brynjarsdottir had an excellent opportunity to equalise just a few minutes later, but failed to direct her header on goal.
The hosts continued to put dangerous balls into the box as West Ham struggled to gain a foothold in the match.
However, The Hammers were able to clear time and time again, with City having to settle for just a one-goal lead at half-time.
After the break, City remained in the ascendancy and doubled their advantage with 20 minutes remaining.

Fowler turned from provider to goalscorer to fire home City's second to secure the three points. A poor backpass from Shelina Zadorsky was pounced on by Bunny Shaw, who delivered a cross to the back post for the Australia international to head home.
The result means City maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they sit top of the table with seven points from an available nine, with a tough-looking encounter against UEFA Champions League holders Barcelona on Wednesday - live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Arsenal dropped points for the second time in their opening three matches with a disappointing 0-0 draw against bottom-of-the-table Everton.
Jonas Eidevall's side - who have failed to find their usual stride so far this season - prepare to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage on Wednesday, but will be reeling from a disappointing result after failing to find a way past winless Everton.
Arsenal looked slick in the build-up until they reached the final third, where decision-making and a lack of clinical touch let them down at the Emirates.
Substitute Caitlin Foord looked to dispel their goalscoring woes when her cleanly struck effort soared towards goal in the 90th minute, but the Australian's effort cannoned back off the crossbar.
There was still time for the hosts to fire a late winner, but Stina Blackstenius spurned the opportunity with her header flying over.

A thrilling encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool saw the Merseyside outfit wheel away with all three points after a frantic 3-2 win.
Cornelia Kapocs opened the scoring for the visitors 10 minutes in, as Spurs failed to find a response until nine minutes after the half-time interval - Liverpool defender Taylor Hinds turning into her own net.
But Liverpool forward Marie Hobinger took the game into her own hands late on, first putting her side 2-1 up in the 75th minute, before responding to Clare Hunt's 83rd-minute equaliser with a penalty deep into stoppage time, to send the visitors away with their first victory of the WSL season.

In the later kick-off, Crystal Palace made history - winning their maiden WSL match with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City.
Annabel Blanchard was the star for the top-flight newcomers - netting an impressive double to continue Leicester's miserable, winless start to the 2024/25 campaign.
