Borussia Dortmund cruise past Mainz to book Champions League spot ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt

Freshly crowned German Cup winners Borussia Dortmund booked a Champions League spot for next season with a comfortable 3-1 victory at Mainz 05 on Sunday that made sure of a top-four finish with a game left in the season.
A curled shot from Raphael Guerreiro in the 22nd minute put the visitors in the driving seat and two minutes before the break, Jadon Sancho threaded a ball past two defenders and Marco Reus tapped in from close range to double their lead.
Julian Brandt rounded the keeper in the 80th minute to seal their victory and help lift Dortmund, who beat RB Leipzig on Thursday to win the German Cup, to 61 points and third place with their sixth consecutive league win.

VfL Wolfsburg squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at second-placed RB Leipzig on but still earned a Champions League spot for next season after making sure of a top-four finish.
With one game left in the season Wolfsburg are in fourth place, four points ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Maximilian Philipp had struck twice in the first half to put the confident Wolves 2-0 up, thundering in a shot in the 12th minute and then striking again in stoppage time after connecting with a Ridle Baku cutback.
Justin Kluivert, however, perfectly controlled a high cross floated in from Marcel Sabitzer six minutes after the restart, then shook off his marker and drilled in from eight yards as Leipzig launched a comeback.
Sabitzer then converted a 78th-minute penalty to level, as his team locked down second place.
