However, fans will have to wait a little longer to hear the legendary Champions League anthem at Villa Park as they first have to face Swiss champions Young Boys in Bern.

Last season the Swiss side battled well to a third-place finish in a Champions League group containing Manchester City, RB Leipzig and Crvena zvezda.

For Villa, they topped their Conference League group and made it all the way to the semi-finals until they were knocked out by eventual winners Olympiacos 6-2 on aggregate.
