Jude Bellingham explains why 'it can be difficult' playing with Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, hopes they will click for Bayern Munich clash

Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius could all start for Alvaro Arbeloa's side against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday - live on TNT Sports and HBO Max - as they chase a 2-1 deficit from the first leg in Madrid last week.

England international Bellingham has endured a stop-start campaign blighted by injury, but recently returned from a hamstring issue and will look to spearhead his side to a comeback against one of Europe's most imperious forces, with the UEFA Champions League representing Madrid's last plausible chance of silverware.

Arbeloa's key players will have to be on song in order for that to happen, and speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Bellingham spoke of the challenges of creating that synergy.

"It's difficult, because I still feel like there have been many games where we've mixed really well," Bellingham said when asked about combining with his star team-mates.

"At times, it can be difficult with two naturally left-sided players [Mbappe and Vini].

"It can be difficult when we're all on the same side. Arbeloa's found a balance with me on the other side a bit more.

"We're fluid, we have freedom to move around, at times that can disorganise a bit, but with both of them, you have to trust in their ability... when things are right, hopefully like tomorrow. I've seen it before."

A string of disappointing defeats to Mallorca, Getafe and Osasuna, alongside Friday's draw with Girona, have left Madrid nine points off La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Alongside their Copa del Rey exit to second-tier Albacete, Los Blancos face the risk of having no silverware to contest come the final weeks of the season.

So there is an awful lot riding on Wednesday's trip to Munich, and Bellingham said the magnitude of the task is not lost on his team-mates.

"We want to still be playing for something at the end of the season," Bellingham said.

"It's hugely important for us, for the club. Obviously it's been a bit of a frustrating season for me, my first one like this, missing so many games with injury.

"Any loss in the Champions League feels like a disaster. Given the situation we're in, we understand tomorrow is a final. We have to see it as an all or nothing game."

As record 15-time Champions League winners, Madrid have a storied history of success in the competition. That legacy alone is a reason not to write them off in Munich, but Arbeloa also feels their performance in the first-leg defeat did not necessarily deserve defeat.

"To begin with, we are Real Madrid," Arbeloa said. "If there's a team that comes to this stadium to turn things around, it's us.

"If we won [the first leg], it wouldn't have been anything crazy. Their goalkeeper [Manuel Neuer] was the MVP. We are capable of it.

"The Real Madrid coach believes, the players believe, and the club believes. There hasn't been a single fan I've met these past few days who doesn't believe we're going to win."
