Here are nine UEFA Champions League moments you may have missed this week. Defenders took centre stage while Jude Bellingham and Lamine Yamal made history during another exciting round of league phase fixtures. There were also some great results for some of the underdogs in the competition, include Cypriot side Pafos and Belgian team Club Brugge, who drew with Barcelona.

Fans have been treated to another exciting week of action in the UEFA Champions League, and there were far too many incredible moments for one fan to keep track of.

From a six-goal thriller between Club Brugge and Barcelona, to Bayern Munich's 2-1 victory over defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, there were plenty of highlights for fans to sink their teeth into.

With that in mind, the TNT Sports team have put together a list of some of the flash points and historic moments that took place in the Champions League this week.

Bend it like Burn

Dan Burn sparked a debate about the best UEFA Champions League header ever after scoring a sensational goal in Newcastle's 2-0 win against Athletic Club.

Steven Gerrard's headed finish in the 2005 Champions League final for Liverpool against AC Milan and Lionel Messi's effort for Barcelona against Manchester United in 2009 final spring to mind.

However, neither of them had the flair of Burn's bending effort into the top-right corner.

Defenders take centre stage for Spurs

Burn was not the only defender to take centre stage this week.

Micky van de Ven channeled his inner Messi and ran the length of the field to score in Tottenham's emphatic 4-0 win against Copenhagen.

The goal caught the headlines, but that should not detract from Cristian Romero's very fine assist for his side's fourth.

The centre-back surged through the middle of the pitch before getting on the ball and picking out Joao Palhinha with a phenomenal pass.

Yamal follows in Mbappe's footsteps

Lamine Yamal's rise to the top of European football has been meteoric, and he made more history during Barca's fantastically entertaining 3-3 draw with Club Brugge.

According to Opta, the 18-year-old has now been involved in 13 Champions League goals during his career so far.

That is the joint-most by a player aged 18 or under in the history of Europe's elite competition.

The other player to reach 13 goal contributions was Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe.

Bellingham fastest to 50

Another star of the next generation made history during Real Madrid's clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

Opta have said that the England international made his 50th Champions League appearance on Tuesday at the age of just 22 years and 155 days.

That would make him the youngest player ever to reach 50 appearances in Europe's elite competition, surpassing Los Blancos icon Iker Casillas.

Future looks bright for youthful Chelsea

Chelsea may have had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Qarabag, but the future looks bright for the Blues.

They named the second-youngest starting side by an English team in the Champions League for Wednesday's match, according to Opta.

Chelsea named an XI with an average age of 23 years and 97 days.

That left them in second place behind the Arsenal side that faced Olympiacos in December 2009 with an average age of 21 years and 215 days.

Haaland at it again

Surprise surprise, Erling Haaland scored again during Manchester City's 4-1 win against Borussia Dortmund.

The striker has now found the back of the net in all four of City's Champions League matches so far this season.

The finish against his former side means he now has five goals in four league phase fixtures this term.

Mourinho loses three in a row

Jose Mourinho's return to Portugal caught the imagination of football fans across Europe, but Benfica have struggled in the Champions League since his arrival.

Mourinho's side have lost all three of their league phase fixtures since he took the role.

They fell to a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea and a 3-0 defeat against Newcastle, before suffering a 1-0 home loss to Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night.

Inter Milan prove the doubters wrong

Inter Milan were thrashed 5-0 by PSG in last season's Champions League final, with some fans suggesting they weren't at their French opponent's level.

However, their 2-1 win against Kairat on Wednesday means they now have four wins from four in this season's league phase.

The Serie A side have gone about their business quietly yet again, and are showing why they have been so successful in this competition in recent years.

They are one of three sides in the competition that still have a perfect record, level on points with Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Underdogs impress

Few people expected Qarabag, Club Brugge and Pafos to be doing so well at this stage of the league phase.

Qarabag's 2-2 draw against Chelsea has left them in 15th place with seven points, having also beaten Copenhagen and Benfica.

Cypriot side Pafos are in 20th place with five points. They recorded draws against Olympiacos and Kairat before their impressive win against Spanish side Villarreal on Wednesday.

Club Brugge are also in the play-off places, in 22nd, as things stand after a 4-1 win over Monaco in their opening fixture and their 3-3 draw with Barcelona on Wednesday.
