TNT Sports pundits Ally McCoist, Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole have given their predictions for who they think will win Euro 2024.
The tournament in Germany gets under way on Friday, June 14 and anticipation builds for the competition following the completion of the domestic seasons across Europe.
England, France and hosts Germany are the bookmakers' favourites to win the competition.
McCoist disagrees that Euro 2020 finalists England can be considered the favourites to win it for the first time as he believes France's experience of winning international competitions gives them the edge.
"Disagree," he told TNT Sports.
"100% they should be one of the favourites to win Euro 2024, but I would not have them above France. I think France have already beaten them in the World Cup recently. It's a flip of the coin between the two sides to be brutally honest.
"I think France have won tournaments more recently than England, I'm not sure England know how to finally win a tournament since 1966. I totally understand and get that this is one of the best squads in a long time but I would say France deserve favouritism before England.
"I think the top two favourites have got to be England and France. I think England and France have kicked on from everybody else.
"I just think favouritism deserves to go to France because they know how to do it."

Ferdinand thinks Germany have to be considered one of the frontrunners to win the competition, but believes the quality in England's squad makes them the No. 1 team to beat.
He said: "I don't think they'll win it, but I think they could go close because of their home advantage is Germany. That mentality around tournaments, whether you think they're a good team or not they've got home advantage.
"Toni Kroos has come back, they've got some really good young players, Jamal Musiala being one of them. They would be my outside bet.
"I think England and France are favourites. Then you've got Portugal and Germany just a rung underneath.
"I'm going with England as favourites. Jude Bellingham is a top player and probably the best player in La Liga at the moment. Harry Kane is the top goalscorer in Germany and you've got Phil Foden firing in England."
Joe Cole thinks England are the favourites, but also agrees with Ferdinand that Germany will also be one of the teams to beat.
"It's England or France or Germany," he said.
"I'd put Germany in there because of the home advantage. I'd put Germany up there with England and France."
