Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran has signed a new contract through to 2030, the Premier League club have announced. The Colombian striker, who joined the club in 2023, has scored four times so far this season in the Premier League, in addition to hitting the winner in Villa's memorable UEFA Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has signed a new contract with the club, tying him down until 2030.
The Colombian striker penned a new deal off the back of a blistering start to the season which has seen him score six goals in 10 matches in all competitions.
The 20-year-old hitman arrived at the club in January 2023 from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.
Mostly featuring as a substitute, Duran scored eight times in all competitions as The Villans finished fourth in the Premier League and qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
There was speculation linking the player with a move over the summer, but Duran stayed at the club and despite not being a starter, he has scored four in seven Premier League appearances - all from the bench.
All of his goals so far have led to Villa winning the matches concerned, including most spectacularly, a 30-yard screamer in the 3-2 comeback victory over Everton.
Duran arguably eclipsed this, however, when he again came off the bench to score another fantastic long-range effort against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, a goal that would prove to be the winner yet again.
Villa sit fifth in the Premier League after seven games with four wins, one defeat and two draws, the most recent of which coming from a stalemate against Manchester United.
Unai Emery's side have also won two out of two in the Champions League, having kicked off their campaign by beating Young Boys, before their famous win over Bayern.
