Only an elite selection of managers have guided a team to the Premier League title during their first season at a club. Liverpool boss Arne Slot joined that illustrious list of names this weekend after The Reds secured all three points with a 5-1 win against Tottenham. With that in mind, we thought that the time was right to look back at the managers who have done it in years gone by.

Arne Slot has enjoyed a sensational first season in English football, leading Liverpool to a historic 20th league title.
The Reds secured their second triumph of the Premier League era after a 5-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur, capping a sensational campaign in style.
It is a remarkable achievement for the Dutchman, who has filled Jurgen Klopp's sizeable shoes with ease this term.
Now that the title race is over, we thought the time was right to look at all the managers who, like Slot, have won the Premier League in their first season at a club.
Jose Mourinho (Chelsea)
Jose Mourinho became the first Premier League manager to win the title in his first season at a club during the 2004/05 campaign.
'The Special One' guided a Roman Abramovich-backed Chelsea to their first league title in 50 years within 12 months of succeeding Claudio Ranieri in the role.

Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea)
Carlo Ancelotti became the second legendary manager to achieve the feat after leading Chelsea to the top during the 2009/10 season.
Chelsea pipped Manchester United to the title by a single point, winning 27 games and sealing the club's fourth top-flight crown.
The Italian guided The Blues to a Premier League and FA Cup double.

Antonio Conte (Chelsea)
His compatriot Antonio Conte brought his trademark style to West London during the 2016/17 campaign, going on to lift the Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
Infamously switching to a back three midway through the season, Conte guided a rejuvenated Chelsea side to their sixth and latest title.

Manuel Pellegrini (Man City)
Manuel Pellegrini joined the list during his first season with Manchester City in 2013-14.
All four of those managers not only won the Premier League during their first season with their respective clubs, but they also did it during their first season in the Premier League.
However, one manager bounced back from disappointment with one English club to then win the Premier League in his first season at another, and he has already been mentioned in this list.
Claudio Ranieri (Leicester City)
Ranieri may have been replaced by Mourinho at Chelsea, but he would go on to mastermind the most unlikely title triumph ever during the 2015/16 campaign.
The Italian helped Leicester City win the Premier League against all odds during his first season at the club, making it onto this list as a result.

Arne Slot (Liverpool)
That makes Slot the sixth manager to win the Premier League in their first season at a club, and the fifth manager to win the title in their debut campaign in the English top flight.
