Arsenal Premier League fixtures 2025/26: Season starts with Manchester United test as Leeds United and Liverpool also await in tough August

After finishing second in the Premier League in three successive seasons, Arsenal are aiming to go one better in the 2025/26 campaign. They will meet defending champions Liverpool early in the season, but travel to long-time rivals Manchester United on the opening weekend. We have been looking at how their season starts and finishes, as well as when they face north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal will begin their latest Premier League title challenge away at Manchester United on the opening weekend of the 2025/26 season.

August also sees The Gunners host newly promoted Leeds and take a trip to defending champions Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's side will visit Everton's new stadium in the build-up to Christmas, before ending 2025 at home to Aston Villa.

When is the north London derby?

Arsenal will host Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend of November 22, before the reverse fixture takes place on the weekend of February 21.

Arsenal came out on top in both meetings between the rivals during the 2024/25 season.

When is Arsenal v Liverpool?

Arsenal will play champions Liverpool in their third fixture of the new season as they take a trip to Anfield on the weekend of August 30.

Arne Slot's side will visit Emirates Stadium in the early part of 2026, with the teams scheduled to meet on January 7.

When did Arsenal last win the Premier League?

Arsenal have finished second in the Premier League in each of the last three seasons.

They finished as runners-up to Liverpool in the last campaign, while Manchester City beat them to the title in the two previous seasons.

Premier League success has not been enjoyed at Arsenal since the 2003/04 season, when Arsene Wenger led the club to a dominant title-winning season.

They finished 11 points ahead of second-placed Chelsea, with Thierry Henry scoring 30 goals on his way to the Golden Boot and PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

When will Arsenal play in the UEFA Champions League?

Arsenal have qualified directly for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League after finishing second in the Premier League last season.
