De Ligt desperate for Man Utd move

Matthijs de Ligt is keen on joining Manchester United and wants to make the move “imminently”.
That is according to a report in The Sun, which claims the Dutch defender has told Bayern Munich of his ambitions.
“Matthijs de Ligt wants to join Manchester United imminently and has reportedly told Bayern Munich to seal the transfer,” notes the outlet.
“Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that De Ligt wants to join the Red Devils with ‘immediate effect’.
“He added Bayern have been informed about his decision and advanced talks between the clubs have taken place but there is no deal done yet.
“Only a verbal agreement between United and De Ligt regarding a long-term contract has been struck.
"De Ligt's agent Rafaela Pimenta is working on the final details to get a deal sealed but Plettenberg has confirmed a medical has not yet been booked."

Branthwaite in line for huge pay rise if he joins Man Utd

Jarrad Branthwaite could quadruple his wages if he makes the move from Everton to Manchester United, it has been claimed.
According to the Mirror, The Red Devils will pay the defender £165,000 a week should a deal be completed.
However, Everton are said to want £70 million for Branthwaite, an offer United have not yet matched.
“Manchester United have promised to quadruple Jarrad Branthwaite’s salary should he move to Old Trafford,” states the outlet.
“The Red Devils have identified the Everton centre-back as one of their prime targets this summer. And they are so keen on signing him that they are willing to offer him a huge wage increase.
“They will offer him a £165k-per-week wage packet at Old Trafford - a huge increase on the £35k he currently banks at Goodison Park, as first reported by The Times.
“It would also see United get close to a new rule introduced by Erik ten Hag. The club have enforced a so-called ‘Ronaldo rule’ that would see players’ salaries limited to £200k per week.
“While Man United have already offered terms to Branthwaite, there is one problem remaining - they have not agreed a few with Everton yet. The Red Devils have seen two bids rejected for the defender, the latest worth £45m plus £5m in add-ons.
“The Toffees want to receive around £70m for the centre-back. They have demanded that amount having compared the deal that took Wesley Fofana to Chelsea in 2022.”

Klopp turns down USMNT

The United States Men's National Team have tried and failed to persuade Jurgen Klopp to become their new manager following the departure of Gregg Berhalter.
In a report by the Daily Express, it is suggested that Klopp has turned down the opportunity to get back into management just weeks after overseeing his final game as Liverpool boss.
“Jurgen Klopp has reportedly turned down the opportunity to manage the United States national team after being sounded out for initial talks,” reads the article.
Earlier this week, Klopp was linked with a surprise move across the Atlantic to replace Gregg Berhalter as manager of the United States national team. He has since turned down the opportunity after being approached by intermediaries to gauge his interest in the role, according to The Athletic.”
