Real ready for Alexander-Arnold deal this January
Real Madrid could strike a £20 million deal to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold this January.
The Telegraph believes that Liverpool are reluctant to sell as they target titles this year.
The paper writes: "Real Madrid are prepared to pay £20 million to persuade Liverpool to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold in January, but the Premier League leaders are adamant their vice-captain will not leave this month.
"Liverpool’s position is whatever fee they might receive for the right-back is secondary to their Premier League title and Champions League ambitions. They are interested in trophies, not what numbers they can secure for a pivotal player.
"Indeed, a fee in the region of the €20-25 million Real Madrid have indicated they would pay could be collected in prize money should Arne Slot lead the club to its second Premier League title in 35 years or win a seventh European Cup.
"Liverpool have still not given up hope of convincing their vice-captain to sign a new long-term Anfield contract instead of moving to Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of this season. In the light of Real’s move, many will believe the likelihood of Alexander-Arnold staying at Anfield is receding."
United want Gyokeres this month
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim wants Viktor Gyokeres this month after a dreadful start to his time in charge at Old Trafford.
The Sporting striker would command his full £80 million release clause, with a cheaper deal potentially feasible in the summer.
The Mirror reports: "Manchester United will try to sign Viktor Gyokeres this month in a bid to save their season.
"Ruben Amorim always had designs on bringing Gyokeres, 26, with him to Old Trafford after leaving his post at Sporting Lisbon back in November, although that transfer was pencilled in for next summer rather than in January.
"It would likely cost around £80 million to extract Gyokeres from Sporting in January due to a release clause in his contract. And while United could raise funds from player sales in the winter window, a deal for the former Coventry City man would have to be sanctioned by the Glazers.
"It's thought Sporting would demand the full amount of his release clause if they are to part with Gyokeres midway through the season amid suggestions he could be allowed to leave for a slightly smaller fee next summer."
Juventus eye Zirkzee deal
United might be able to make room for Gyokeres with Joshua Zirzkee already linked with a move away.
After being substituted after 33 minutes against Newcastle, Juventus are eyeing a loan move for the player.
The Sun claims: "Juventus are lining up a loan move for Joshua Zirkzee after his Manchester United career hit a new low on Monday night.
"The Dutch international forward was subbed after just 33 minutes of the 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Monday night.
"And United fans welcomed the decision before jeering as the £35 million forward left the pitch to be replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.
"Zirkzee looked to be visibly upset as he made his way straight down the tunnel but he was back in the dug-out for the second half.
"While Ruben Amorim has pledged to support the 23-year-old, his future at Old Trafford is looking increasingly uncertain."
Olmo targeted by PL giants
Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool are all tracking Dani Olmo.
The Spanish forward could be available on a free transfer after Barcelona failed to register him in their squad for the second half of the season.
The Daily Mail explains: "La Liga have removed Dani Olmo and Pau Victor from Barcelona's list of registered players after the club failed to meet a deadline.
"Olmo only joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in the summer in a £50m deal but could only be registered on a temporary arrangement until the end of 2024 owing to LaLiga's ongoing financial constraints on Barcelona.
"The Catalan giants had been trying to re-register the attacking midfielder so that he can play for them beyond December 31.
"With Olmo's future far from certain, several Premier League clubs are circling.
"As well as United and City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all believed to be monitoring his situation closely, according to reports in Spain."
