Osimhen to turn down Chelsea move
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is not interested in joining Chelsea, according to reports.
The Nigeria international has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge - but it seems Osimhen does not have any desire to join up with Enzo Maresca's side.
"Chelsea's pursuit of Victor Osimhen has suffered a major blow as the Napoli striker is reportedly not keen on a move to Stamford Bridge," reports the Mirror.
"Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move away from the former Italian champions this summer and it recently emerged that the Blues were in talks over a potential swap deal involving the Nigeria international and Romelu Lukaku.
"According to the Athletic, Chelsea and Napoli were discussing a move that would see Osimhen leave on loan with an option to buy and Lukaku make a permanent switch to Italy to link up once again with Antonio Conte.
"However, that deal now looks unlikely to go through after Corriere dello Sport claimed the prospect of joining Chelsea 'does not excite' Osimhen."
Liverpool join Newcastle in race for Guehi
Newcastle face competition to land the signature of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi with Liverpool also interested.
Eddie Howe’s side have been strongly linked with the England international, who is said to be worth £75 million after a standout Euro 2024 campaign.
A report in The Sun suggests Liverpool would also like to acquire his services.
“Liverpool are ready to join the bidding battle for England star Marc Guehi,” states the outlet.
“New Kop boss Arne Slot is keen to rival Newcastle — with Crystal Palace ready to demand £75million for the England centre-back.
“Toon have yet to make a formal offer and Liverpool are waiting in the wings to find out the price while trying to avoid an auction.
“Guehi, 24, was a standout star for England at Euro 2024 and Palace will have little option but to sell if the right offer comes in."
The report adds that Liverpool could also offer Joe Gomez to Newcastle in exchange for Anthony Gordon.
O'Riley could replace Gallagher at Chelsea
Chelsea reportedly see Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley as an ideal replacement for the outgoing Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher is said to be close to joining La Liga giants Atletico Madrid for around £34m. Celtic could demand up to £20m for O’Riley, claims The Sun.
“Chelsea have joined the race to Celtic star Matt O'Riley,” reads the report.
“Several Premier League outfits are lining up a move for the Dane, with Chelsea identifying him as a potential replacement for Conor Gallagher.
“The Blues offered Gallagher a new contract but he turned it down amid interest from Atletico Madrid.
“Gallagher could leave for around £34million and the funds could be used to sign O'Riley.
“The Danish international is understood to be unlikely to settle for being a squad man at any new club and will want guarantees of first-team appearances.
“Chelsea may have to offer more than £20m plus extras to persuade Celtic to sell with boss Brendan Rodgers adamant he will be going nowhere until his asking price is met.”
Man Utd demand £18M for Wan-Bissaka
Manchester United want around £18m to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham, it has been claimed.
The Mail claims The Hammers are “ready to step up” their interest in the right back after a deal for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui collapsed.
The same report claims Man Utd are interested in Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte.
“West Ham are ready to step up talks for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka,” states the Mail.
“United want around £18million for Wan-Bissaka and, should they sell, would then look to hold further negotiations with Bayern Munich for right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
“United had a bid for Mazraoui and teammate Matthijs de Ligt rejected last week.
“The club also remain keen on PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, but it's thought they will need to sell to raise funds to sign the Uruguayan.”
