Mainoo wants United stay
Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is now poised for contract talks after Michael Carrick brought him back into the first team.
The 20-year-old’s negotiations had stalled after previous manager Ruben Amorim looked to have lost confidence in the player.

The Sun explains: "Kobbie Mainoo is to stay at Manchester United after being reminded of his worth by Michael Carrick.
"The 20-year-old was linked with a January loan exit to Napoli after being restricted to a part-time role under Ruben Amorim.
"Mainoo had agreed a new contract last year which was still to be signed off under Amorim, who froze him out of the starting XI after the embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat at Grimsby on August 27.
"He has been locked in prolonged negotiations with his boyhood club over improved terms on his ÂŁ20,000-a-week deal until 2027, with United holding the option of an additional year."
Dortmund rival United and Arsenal for wonderkid
Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all tracking 17-year-old Brazilian-Croatian Belinho.
The versatile forward plays for NK Kustosija and has also attracted attention from Borussia Dortmund, according to the Mirror.
The paper reports: "Arsenal and Manchester United are among a long list of top European clubs tracking 17-year-old sensation Rafael Belinho.
"The Brazilian gem, who also holds a Croatian passport, has just completed a transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to NK Kustosija.
"Arsenal, United, Barca and Real Madrid are all aware of the player and are continuing to monitor his progress closely. Brexit regulations would prevent Belinho from officially moving to the Premier League until he has turned 18 next January, however, English clubs can still pounce to sign him, should they wish.
"Mirror Football can also reveal Borussia Dortmund are keen on landing the attacker, who operates as a No.10 or right winger. In the past few days, Belinho's representatives have been in Germany for face-to-face discussions with BVB with a view to a potential future transfer."
Villa turn to Mateta
Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and Aston Villa’s Evann Guessand could move in opposite directions.
Villa are also interested in Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham, but he is with the Turkish giants on loan from AS Roma, which adds a complication to getting a deal done.
The Athletic writes: "Aston Villa have expressed an interest in Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, with Palace weighing up a move in the opposite direction for Evann Guessand, who the south London club were pursuing last summer.
"Villa’s interest in Mateta comes as head coach Unai Emery aims to strengthen his side’s front line, with the French forward among the options being considered - also including Tammy Abraham.
"There has been no breakthrough in talks between Villa and Besiktas over the English striker, however, despite officials from the midlands club flying to Turkey ahead of the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce last month in an attempt to close a deal."
Everton keen on En-Nesyri
Juventus have been linked with Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri, but the Daily Mail reports interest from Everton.
The 28-year-old is a loan target for David Moyes, and he should soon be available after his AFCON obligations ended.
The paper states: "Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri has been top of the list but there was no chance of any deal being done while Morocco were still on AFCON duty.Â
"Moyes likes him and would happily take the 28-year-old on loan but he knows there are several other clubs jostling in the queue for En-Nesyri, including a couple in Serie A.
"One important point that must be stressed, however, is this: Everton will not make any rushed decisions. The only way they will sign someone in this window is if they are someone they would consider signing in the summer: any target must have enduring quality."
