Man Utd set to release Sancho
Manchester United are set to eschew the opportunity to extend winger Jadon Sancho’s contract for another year, according to The Mirror.
The outlet claims United would prefer to see him leave for nothing in the summer rather than risk having him on their books for one more season.
The Mirror explains: "Manchester United are ready to let Jadon Sancho leave for nothing this summer - five years after paying £73 million to bring him back to England from Borussia Dortmund.
"In that time the winger has returned just 12 goals and is currently away on loan at Aston Villa. It is his third successive loan stint away having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford. United have the option to trigger a 12-month extension in his deal.
"That would be common practice, allowing them to retain their asset and demand a fee for him. But those on the red half of Manchester are ready to bypass that opportunity and instead let him leave for free once the summer comes round."
Real Madrid pull out of race for Guehi
Real Madrid have decided to pull out of the race to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to Spanish reports.
AS have explained that the Spanish giants have decided the player’s wage demands are too high.
Guehi's proposed move to Liverpool on Deadline Day reportedly broke down in the 11th hour, and the Merseyside club are said to remain favourites to secure his signature next summer.
AS states: "His name was one of many that were considered as alternatives to Konate, Upamecano, or Saliba before renewing with Arsenal. However, the player's high demands, both in terms of salary and signing bonus, make his signing practically unfeasible.
"Marc, for his part, wants to take his time to decide and analyse his next step. He holds all the cards and will have no shortage of options. "He wants something different," as Oliver Glasner himself said.
"He wants to fight for titles, get the international recognition he deserves, and be important. In that scenario, Liverpool and Bayern Munich take the lead.
"Anfield is his dream destination. Last summer, he was close to joining Slot's team, but Palace backed out at the last minute when they couldn't find a suitable replacement. Even Glasner himself threatened to resign if the transfer went through. If he does join, he would fill the position vacated by Konate, who is set to move to Madrid."
Wednesday track Oxford winger
Sheffield Wednesday could work around their transfer embargo if they find free transfers and loans, and they also have an eye on a young League One star.
Wednesday, Luton and Huddersfield are three sides all credited with an interest in Oxford United’’s 22-year-old winger Tyler Goodrham.
The Sun reports: "Sheffield Wednesday are one of four EFL clubs eyeing Oxford’s highly-rated winger Tyler Goodrham.
"Fellow Championship outfit QPR as well as League One pair Luton and Huddersfield are also keen on the 22-year-old.
"The Owls’ administrators are hopeful the club will be sold in time for the January transfer market.
"And the second tier crisis side, who received a 12-point deduction and are on minus five points after 13 games, might be able to bring in new recruits when the window reopens.
"Loans and free transfer signings would be the only avenues to explore with fees banned, but it could serve as a crucial way to bolster Henrik Pedersen’s men."
Turner returns to Palace
Matt Turner is training with his former Premier League side, Crystal Palace, reports The Athletic.
The 31-year-old is currently on loan at New England Revolution but is contracted to Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
However, he could still join the Revolution on a permanent basis if they activate a clause to sign him.
The Athletic writes: "U.S. men’s national team goalkeeper Matt Turner is training with former club Crystal Palace.
"The 31-year-old, who is on loan with MLS’s New England Revolution from Lyon through June 2026, is spending time back in London in order to maintain fitness before the November international break next week. The USMNT host friendlies with Paraguay on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Uruguay on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
"Turner, who has 52 caps for his country, spent last season on loan at Palace from fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest, but they opted not to extend his stay, before Lyon paid €8 million (£6.74m) to bring him to France. He then moved straight back to MLS prior to the summer transfer deadline in a loan move, with an option to buy."
