The paper writes: "Manchester United are exploring a move for Sporting Lisbon defensive prospect Salvador Blopa.

"The 18-year-old can play at right-back or right midfield and has already been likened to former club mate Nuno Mendes, now at Paris Saint-Germain, with his effervescent running and reading of the game.

"Blopa though is already 6ft 2ins tall and offers a more physical presence both in defence and going forward.

"Other European sides, including Real Madrid, have been following his progress but United are understood to have taken initial soundings and held conversations regarding his availability."

Zirkzee will be refused United exit

Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee has been a target for West Ham ahead of the transfer window in January, but the move could be scuppered.

The Sun believes that United are keen to hold onto the Dutch forward as they plan for three players to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The paper explains: "Joshua Zirkzee has been told there is 'no chance' of a mid-season departure from United.

"As Sun Sport revealed last month, United are prepared to block requests from players to leave in the winter transfer window as they are set to lose Bryan Mbeumo, Amad and Noussair Mazraoui during the African Cup of Nations, which starts on December 21.

"Zirkzee, 24, has not started a game for United since April but he has been an ever-present in matchday squads and his playing time could increase with fellow forwards Amad and Mbeumo in Morocco for AFCON."

Morton could give Liverpool transfer boost

Tyler Morton is a target for Premier League side Crystal Palace, according to reports in the French media.

That could boost Liverpool’s transfer coffers, who have a 20% sell-on clause for the Lyon midfielder.

The Mirror reports: "Liverpool academy graduate Tyler Morton was sold to Lyon in the summer transfer window with a 20% sell-on clause included in the deal. The young midfielder had been eager to kick-start his senior career and finally got his chance when the French Ligue 1 side approached him in late July.

"Overall, he featured 14 times for his boyhood side, including five outings in cup competitions last season under Slot, and has enjoyed an impressive beginning to his French adventure, despite Lyon's widely-reported financial troubles.

"However, French media outlets have already suggested Morton is catching the eye of Premier League sides, with Crystal Palace reportedly linked with a potential swoop.

"Attention from a Premier League outfit regarding a promising young midfielder could prove tempting for the financially-stretched French club, notwithstanding the encouraging start Morton has enjoyed there.

"The 23-year-old is reportedly content in France and unlikely to instigate a transfer, however, interest from the Premier League could understandably spark curiosity in a young, ambitious player. This suggests that Liverpool may stand to gain from the sell-on clause included in the deal."

Everton reject Inter offer for Ndiaye

Iliman Ndiaye was the subject of a £40 million offer from Serie A side Internazionale in the summer.

The Athletic claims the offer was rejected, and he may now be in line for a new contract.

The website states: "Over the summer, Everton rejected an enquiry, worth more than £40 million, from Italy’s Inter for Ndiaye. Other clubs in England and on the continent are tracking his progress, too.

"Everton are relatively relaxed about Ndiaye’s situation. He is happy on Merseyside - settled in the area and close in particular to Idrissa Gueye - and has three years left on his deal.

"He is not one of the club’s top earners, though - far from it - and at some point, the club will have to make him an offer that reflects his status as a key player if they want to keep him.

"A similar thing happened with Jarrad Branthwaite over the summer. If you’re turning down big-money offers, then agents and players usually see that as a cue to push for improved terms."
