CHELSEA PREPARE €60 MILLION BID FOR COSTA
Chelsea are said to be preparing an €60 million bid for Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 26-year-old has a long-term contract at Porto, but Chelsea are willing to pay his release clause, the report states.
Costa kept a clean sheet and captained Porto to victory in the Portuguese Super Cup on Sunday, but there was a "farewell atmosphere in the stadium," according to the report.
Manager Francesco Farioli also added that the club has found it "impossible to compete with the money in the Premier League."

MANCHESTER UNITED, VILLA INTERESTED IN KOOPMEINERS
Manchester United and Aston Villa are reportedly interested in acquiring Teun Koopmeiners from Juventus this transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
Koopmeiners, who was at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Netherlands, has fallen behind former Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz in the midfield pecking order at the Italian club, the report states.
And with his playing time looking limited in the upcoming Serie A season, United and Villa have expressed interest, with Juventus wanting €30 million (£25.7 million) for the 28-year-old.

PSG HAVE BID REJECTED FOR 21-YEAR-OLD AJAX WINGER
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly had a bid rejected by Ajax for 21-year-old winger Mika Godts, according to De Telegraaf.
The report states that PSG offered €40 million (£34.3 million) plus €5 million (£4.3 million) in bonuses, but it was turned down.
Ajax are now said to be waiting for a "more realistic offer" for Godts from the reigning European champions.

NEWCASTLE IDENTIFY GUIMARAES REPLACEMENT
With Bruno Guimaraes looking increasingly likely to be moving to Arsenal, Newcastle United have reportedly identified the Brazilian's replacement.
According to L'Equipe in France, Newcastle are weighing up a move for Germany international Felix Nmecha in the event that Guimaraes does depart for London.
The report suggests that Newcastle believe Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nmecha to be the "ideal candidate" to feature in their midfield, with Sandro Tonali also leaving this summer, joining Tottenham Hotspur.
"The financial details of the negotiations between Newcastle and Dortmund have not been disclosed, but the English club is already aware of all of the German side's demands in this matter," L'Equipe write.
Newcastle have already brought in Aladji Bamba from Monaco and Sean Steur from Ajax in the hopes of addressing their holes in midfield.

DIOMANDE TO REAL 'TO BE COMPLETED THIS WEEK'
Yan Diomande will complete his long-rumoured move to Real Madrid this week, according to Sky's Florian Plettenberg.
The 19-year-old has been linked to the Spanish capital consistently this summer, and now looks set to depart RB Leipzig in the coming days.
"Total agreement [is] now closer than ever after today's negotiations," Plettenberg wrote on social media.

MAN CITY MAKE 'DIRECT CONTACT' WITH NETO'S CAMP
More around Chelsea's busy summer activity, but this time a potential outgoing.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made "direct contact" with Pedro Neto's representatives around a potential move for the Portugal international.
"Neto among [City] target if Savinho goes to Spurs while he's also understood to be on Tottenham list as backup option," Romano reports. "Deal also depends on Chelsea valuation."

The 17-year-old arrived for a reported £10 million from Metz in January, but FIFA's rules on international transfers of underaged players meant he couldn't be registered initially.
Madjo is an England under-17 international and raised in Luxembourg, which had seemingly complicated matters.

BARCELONA COULD SWOOP IN FOR RODRI
Barcelona could be about to steal a march on Real Madrid and make a bid for Rodri.
A report from Spanish publication SPORT claims that Manchester City are expecting the Spanish champions to submit an offer for the 30-year-old, and negotiations with Real Madrid have been paused over a proposed transfer.
There is also a reported concern from Rodri about how much he would develop under Jose Mourinho's management at the Bernabeu.
Barca's main obstacles in completing a deal would be the midfielder's salary and transfer fee.
City want in the region of £56 million to sanction a sale, while Real are said to be prepared to only offer £43 million.
It remains to be seen if Barca can get close to that figure.
