Madrid reach deal for Diomande after Vini Jr offer
The Athletic reports in a two-parter that Yan Diomande is set to move to Real Madrid from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €140 million (£120m).
The 19-year-old has been subject to interest from Madrid for much of the summer, but the move now appears to be done.
The outlet writes: "Real Madrid have reached an agreement worth up to €140 million with RB Leipzig for the signing of Yan Diomande following lengthy negotiations.
"Diomande, 19, joined Leipzig on their pre-season training camp in Austria on Monday ahead of his transfer to Madrid being ratified by the German club’s board.
"A deal worth in the region of €125m plus €15m in add-ons is now in place with the Ivory Coast international set to be given permission to travel to Madrid to undergo a medical."
The website also noted that Real have made a new offer to their star forward Vinicius Junior, who has been linked with a switch to Arsenal.
The player and his representatives held talks with the club on Wednesday, and if a deal is not agreed he could move on.
The Athletic added in its report: "Real Madrid have made an improved contract offer to Vinicius Junior.
"The Brazil international’s current terms with the Spanish club expire at the end of next season with, as The Athletic reported on July 25, Arsenal exploring an ambitious move for him if he does not extend.
"Talks between the player’s camp and general director Jose Angel Sanchez and chief scout Juni Calafat took place in the Spanish capital on Wednesday."
Arsenal set to bid for Konsa
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a second bid for Ezri Konsa, Aston Villa’s 28-year-old England international.
The centre-back was the subject of an initial offer earlier in the transfer window, but it failed to meet Villa’s valuation of £60m.
The Daily Mail explains: "Aston Villa are braced for a fresh bid from Arsenal for England defender Ezri Konsa amid attempts to tie him to a new contract.
"Daily Mail Sport reported last month that Konsa was the Gunners’ top target for central defence though their initial proposal was well below Villa’s £60 million valuation of the 28-year-old.
"Konsa has remained on Arsenal’s radar since. He has two years remaining on his current deal at Villa Park and the club would like him to sign a new one."
PSG target Gusto
Chelsea full-back Malo Gusto has fallen further from first-team action under Xabi Alonso at Chelsea after the arrival of Marco Palestra at Stamford Bridge.
Paris Saint-Germain may now take advantage of Chelsea’s need to raise funds by making an offer for the player, valued at £75m.
The Sun writes: "Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has emerged as a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.
"The arrival of £43 million full-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta last month resulted in Gusto dropping further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

"And with Chelsea needing to offload players to comply with FFP regulations, he could be sold before the window closes.
"PSG officials believe that Gusto could provide genuine competition for Achraf Hakimi in the right-back position.
"However, it’s understood that Chelsea want £75m for the 23-year-old."
Vitek set to follow Bayindir out of Man Utd
Manchester United are poised to trim their goalkeeping situation after Altay Bayindir agreed a move to Celta Vigo, and Radek Vitek also closed on a move away.
Vitek has impressed in loan spells, but Championship side Middlesbrough are in line to sign the 22-year-old for £14m, though United will retain a buyback option and a 35% sell-on clause.
The Mirror reports: "Manchester United continue to overhaul their goalkeeping ranks with Altay Bayindir set to depart for Spain and Radek Vitek on the verge of a move to the Championship.
"The situation between the sticks at Old Trafford has kept changing over the past three years with Senne Lammens establishing himself as the club's new No. 1 last term. Underneath him, players have left in search of more minutes, which has ultimately led Bayindir to head overseas.
"The Turkish goalkeeper spent the majority of his time at Old Trafford as a back-up, starting just six times in the Premier League last term, and a deal has now been agreed with Celta Vigo.
"Vitek, the 22-year-old Czech who impressed last season at Bristol City, is on his way back to the second tier as he prepares to join Middlesbrough, subject to a medical, in [a] deal worth up to £14m."
