Olympic Winter Games coverage reaches new summit as TNT Sports becomes the home of the Olympics in UK and Ireland

To mark one month to go until Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has unveiled its extensive broadcast offering as TNT Sports makes its debut on the Olympic stage.   

From every icy twist and turn, to the dizzying descents of the Italian Alps, TNT Sports and discovery+ will be there to deliver an unrivalled multi-platform viewing experience to fans across the UK and Ireland. 

Some of the most respected names in winter sport will headline TNT Sports’ flagship programming, offering daily insight and analysis to bring the Games to life. 

In TNT Sports’ UK-based studio, Amy Williams MBE, the Vancouver 2010 skeleton gold medallist will provide expert analysis across all sliding events. Aimee Fuller, the two-time Olympian in Slopestyle, will also feature regularly throughout the Games, offering expert insight on all freestyle ski and snowboard competitions, plus reaction and opinion to key stories throughout the Games.  

Vicki Chalmers, a Sochi 2014 curling bronze medallist and Olympic bobsleigh pilot Lamin Deen, will provide regular studio punditry with three-time Olympic alpine skiers Ed Drake and Charlie Guest also featuring alongside their commentary duties. 

Regular faces of WBD’s Olympic coverage, Orla Chennaoui and Reshmin Chowdhury will front the UK studio, including the daily live flagship morning show and end of day wrap-ups, plus steering discussion on all key topics throughout the day.  

The on-site team including Radzi Chinyanganya, Lutalo Muhammad and Laura Robson will report live from various locations - including the state-of-the-art WBD House studios in Cortina, bringing all the latest news, interviews and stories as they happen. 

Eve Muirhead MBE, the Beijing 2022 curling Olympic champion, and Team GB Chef de Mission for this year's Games, will also contribute to the coverage, providing unique insight from inside the team. 

TNT Sports on discovery+ will be the go-to destination in the UK to watch everything of Milano Cortina 2026 live all in one place, with over 850 hours of action from every sport, venue, and medal event. 

Coverage will be made available to the widest audience ever, with discovery+ customers across all plans, starting at £3.99/month in the UK and €4.99/month in Ireland, able to access comprehensive live coverage with 24/7 coverage available through TNT Sports 2 and a selection of live event feeds.

TNT Sports 2 will serve as the primary Olympic destination, offering over 200 hours of live event coverage, studio programming, replays, and highlights, delivering round-the-clock storytelling from Milano Cortina across all 17 days of competition.  

Coverage will begin each morning at 08:00 UK time with Buongiorno Milano, a live hour-long studio show hosted by Orla Chennaoui. A variety of experts will preview the day's events, discuss key talking points and analyse any overnight developments. 

Live competition coverage runs from 09:00 to 22:00, culminating with an end of day wrap-up presented by Reshmin Chowdhury, joined by guests to review all key action and talking points from the day’s events. Highlights and replays will continue throughout the night from 23:00 onwards. 

WBD House in Cortina will be the central hub for Team GB athletes to tell their stories of the Games and re-live their experiences. A futuristic Snow Dome in Livigno situated in a stunning location overlooking the freestyle and snowboard competitions will add a depth of dynamism to the broadcast.     

discovery+ will once again redefine how fans watch the Olympics with innovative features designed to personalise and enhance the viewing experience. 

On-screen Gold Medal Alerts will appear when a medal moment is imminent, enabling viewers the choice to jump instantly to the action or continue watching their chosen event. 

Key Moments, available across all platforms and devices, will allow fans to customise their viewing, enabling them to seamlessly transition between the most crucial action to re-live the drama again and again at their choosing. 

The brand-new Multiview feature, available across all platforms, will allow viewers to watch up to four events simultaneously on one screen, perfect for days packed with unmissable action.

Celebrating some of the inspiring athletes taking to the slopes at next month’s Games, WBD is also premiering two new TNT Sports Original snow sport documentaries as part of its mission to unlock the power of the Olympics.  

She Who Dares tells the story of five of Team GB’s pioneering female ski and snowboarding prodigies, trailblazers and leaders. The documentary features exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Team GB training camps and raw interviews that delve deep into personal sacrifice, belief and empowerment with snowboarders Charlotte Bankes and Mia Brookes, freestyle skiers Kirsty Muir, Zoe Atkin and Makayla Gerken Schofield. GB Snowsport CEO, Vicky Gosling also features in a pivotal role with revealing alternative perspectives in her role as boss, mother and storyteller. With humour, heart and a refreshing authenticity, these athletes show that strength comes in many forms.  

Building on this, Keep Calm and Slalom focusses on Team GB ski slalom trio Dave Ryding, Laurie Taylor and Billy Major as they attempt to make it to Milano Cortina 2026 on a shoe-string budget – calculated at less than one percent of other national teams such as Italy, Switzerland and Russia. The underdog story profiles the trials and tribulations of the tightly knit team as through true ‘roll up your sleeves’ determination, they consistently punch above their weight to achieve their dreams against the giants of the sport.  

Both documentaries will premiere at the end of January on TNT Sports and discovery+, acting as the perfect opportunity to whet the appetite ahead of the Games start on February 6. 

They complement a library of non-live content, available to watch on-demand on discovery+ as part of the Road to Milano Cortina 2026 portfolio. This includes the Monuments, docuseries which highlights the unique challenges and traditions of different winter sports and their historic venues around the world, including the Olympic host venue of Cortina d’Ampezzo, and profiles of different athletes in Athletes to Watch. 

WBD’s coverage of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 begins on Wednesday, February 4 ahead of the Opening Ceremony at the iconic San Siro stadium on Friday 6 February, running until the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, February 22.
