Hosts England have been grouped with Australia and United States, while six-time champions New Zealand came out alongside Ireland in the draw for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
On Thursday, the four pools for the Women’s Rugby World Cup were confirmed - with favourites England drawn against Australia, USA and Samoa in Pool A.
England have won 50 of their last 51 matches, with the 2021 World Cup final against New Zealand their only defeat in that time.
Pool B sees 2014 runners-up Canada take on Scotland, Wales and Fiji, while reigning champions New Zealand, are in Pool C with Ireland, Japan and Spain.
The Black Ferns will not underestimate Ireland, who beat them in the WXV last month as well as in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup.
France, who have finished third seven times but never made a final, are in Pool D with Italy, South Africa and tournament debutants Brazil.
The tournament is scheduled to be held across eight venues from August 22 to September 27, 2025.
The opening game will be at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, with Brighton and Hove, Exeter, Salford, Northampton and York also holding pool matches.
Exeter and Bristol will stage the quarter-finals, with the latter also hosting the semi-finals.
Should the final at Twickenham be an 82,000 sell out, it would be the biggest crowd to watch a women’s international.
