The Premiership Women’s Rugby match between Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs has been postponed due to adverse weather caused by Storm Darragh.
The match is the latest sporting event to be postponed in the UK on Saturday, following red and amber warnings issued from the Met Office - citing dangerous conditions.
Premier League club Everton announced earlier on Saturday that the Merseyside derby against Liverpool would be postponed as a result of the extreme weather conditions.
The storm has caused power outages and transport disruption in some parts of the country.
Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs announced their decision on Saturday morning, writing on X: "Today's game against @ExeChiefsWomen at Ashton Gate today has been postponed.
"Following an inspection of Ashton Gate and the pitch this morning, and with further high winds forecast, it is considered unsafe for supporters to attend this afternoon’s game."
The Chiefs were hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premiership Women's Rugby standings against their west-country counterparts in front of the TNT Sports cameras.
The match will be rearranged, with a revised date yet to be announced.

The Bears sit fourth in the Premiership standings, eight points behind the league-leading Chiefs.
Earlier in the week, the Bears had announced that they had signed US rugby Olympian Ilona Maher, with the star set to make her bow in 2025.
Maher has signed a three-month contract, and could now potentially face the Bears in a rearranged fixture during her time in the UK.
Football and rugby matches in Wales have also been disrupted, with the Welsh Rugby Union and Welsh FA postponing their events "in the interests of safety for our clubs, officials, players and spectators".
