The Autumn Nations Series is almost upon us, and powerful centre Sione Tuipulotu has been named Scotland captain for their clashes with South Africa, Australia, Fiji and Portugal. The centre qualified to play for Scotland through his grandmother, and will be joined by his brother Mosese Tuipulotu. Gregor Townsend was full of praise for the centre after a landmark moment in his career.

Sione Tuipulotu has been named Scotland captain for their upcoming Autumn Nations Series clashes with South Africa, Australia, Fiji and Portugal.
Five uncapped players have been called up for the games - live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - with New Zealand-born back Tom Jordan also there, plus Ben Muncaster, Alex Samuel and Freddy Douglas.
Tuipulotu is joined by his brother Mosese Tuipulotu in Gregor Townsend's squad, while D'Arcy Rae, Rory Hutchinson and Darcy Graham have all been recalled.
Townsend believes Tuipulotu has the mentality to lead the team without any hindrance to his quality in attack and defence.
"Sione has been one of our key leaders over the last couple of years and thrives in that leadership role," Townsend told the BBC.
"We've seen that in his outings as Glasgow captain and when he had the opportunity to lead the team against Chile a few months ago.
"He often sets the emotional tone and mindset required for the team and he also contributes significantly to both our attack and defence.
"Last season we looked to deepen our leadership group and we now have a number of people who could step up as captain.
"Sione is aware that he will have leaders around him to offer support and share the leadership responsibilities needed throughout the week and during the game."
Tuipulotu has won 27 Scotland caps since making his debut in 2021.
He was born in Australia but qualified to play for Scotland through his grandmother.
