Mason Grady has been released from the Wales squad for the rest of the Autumn Nations Series, after it was announced that the back requires surgery on an ankle injury sustained in last weekend's defeat against Fiji. It remains to be seen how long he will be on the sidelines, and no replacement has been called up for this weekend’s clash against Australia.

Wales back Mason Grady is to undergo ankle surgery and has been released from the Autumn Nations Series squad, with no one called up to take his place.
The 22-year-old was injured in the 17th minute of last weekend’s match against Fiji, a scrappy encounter that Wales went on to lose 24-19.
There are four wings left in the squad who will be vying for a place in the starting line-up: Blair Murray, Rio Dyer, Josh Hathaway and Tom Rogers.
Murray started on the other wing last Sunday, while fly half Sam Costelow replaced Grady in Cardiff.
“Cardiff Rugby outside back Mason Grady has been released from the Wales senior men’s squad,” the Welsh Rugby Union's official statement said.
“This is following an ankle injury sustained in Sunday’s match against Fiji which requires surgery.”
Wales have not had the start to their autumn they were hoping for, with the Fiji result a chastening one.
The hosts were in the game for large periods, but a few moments of poor discipline proved costly before they were outmuscled in the second half.
The loss was their 10th in a row, their worst streak since 2003, and their quest for a win to break that looks set to become even more difficult.

Kick-off on Sunday for Wales v Australia is at 16:10 UK time, with all the action live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Grady now faces a spell on the sidelines, and it remains to be seen if his injury will impact his preparation for the Six Nations, with Wales set to take part in the opening match of the tournament against France away on January 31.
