England name unchanged starting XV for Argentina clash in 2026 Nations Championship - 'It promises to be a great occasion'

Jamie George will captain the side at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades, with the hooker going into outright fourth spot on the all-time list of England men's most-capped players when he makes his 113th appearance, moving above his former team-mate Owen Farrell.

Ellis Genge and Ollie Chessum have been named as England's vice-captains, while Henry Pollock will look to continue his rich vein of form.

The only changes to the side which comfortably beat Fiji last weekend come in the replacements, with Ben Spencer and uncapped loosehead prop Emmanuel Iyogun named on the bench.

"We're excited by the challenge of playing Los Pumas in Santiago del Estero," Borthwick said in the squad announcement.

"We expect a fantastic atmosphere with passionate home support. It promises to be a great occasion, and one the players are excited to embrace."

Saturday's game, which begins at 20:10 UK time, is England's third match in the Nations Championship, with a win and a loss kicking off their campaign.

They began with a 45-21 defeat to South Africa, before bouncing back emphatically as they ran in 11 tries in a 73-8 victory over Fiji at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

England face a tough test against Argentina in their final match of the first leg of the Nations Championship, with the next set of fixtures resuming in November. 

They have a favourable recent record against the South American side though, having won their last five meetings against them.
