There are concerns about the fitness of England’s Tom Curry, who hobbled off during Sale Sharks’ defeat at Leicester Tigers in the Gallagher Premiership on Friday.
The flanker left the pitch in the first half with a suspected leg injury, before his side squandered a 26-16 lead at the break to lose 44–34.
It comes just days after Curry earned his call-up to the British & Irish Lions squad for the 2025 tour of Australia, which gets underway in July.
"Tom Curry didn’t look good when he came off," commentators remarked on TNT Sports.
"The guy’s made of granite, and it looked like he was in a lot of pain."
Former England and British & Irish Lions player Ugo Monye seemed more optimistic about the situation, though.
Speaking at half-time, he said: "Apparently it’s precautionary, for those people wondering about the end of the season as well as Lions.
"With a six-two stacked bench, they can take that knowing that they might have a lot more matches to play this season."
Two tries from Ollie Hassell-Collins helped Leicester to their victory at Mattioli Woods Welford Road. He was named player of the match as the Tigers boosted their chances of getting a play-off spot.

They are now seven points clear of third-place Sale with two league matches left this season.
"It was just about sticking in there, sticking to our guns, and sticking to what we know. We went in at half-time behind," Hassell-Collins told TNT Sports.
"I enjoy it so much; getting the ball, doing my thing, getting involved.
On the home support, he added: "They’re so special, especially towards the end. I love playing here, the fans are so good.
"We’ve got two big games coming up to solidify where we are."

Leicester travel to Premiership leaders Bath next weekend before a final league match against Newcastle Falcons.
Although still third, Sale’s play-off hopes are less assured with Bristol and Gloucester hot on their heels, both with a game in hand.
Sharks are at home to Bristol in a crunch match next Friday, before their last league fixture away at Exeter.
