Harlequins winger Rodrigo Isgro produced some sensational footwork to score against Newcastle Red Bulls, so good that the Argentina international immediately drew comparisons to compatriot and football legend Lionel Messi. Isgro latched onto a Will Porter grubber and beat Simon Benitez Cruz and Elliott Obatoyinbo with the "outrageous" kick before touching down Harlequins' bonus point try.

Rodrigo Isgro pulled off an incredible piece of skill as Harlequins clinched a bonus point in a PREM victory against Newcastle Red Bulls, immediately conjuring comparisons to compatriot Lionel Messi.
The Argentinian winger was chasing Will Porter's grubber kick through, with seemingly little hope of catching it as two Newcastle players arrived to cover their 22.
However, as fellow Argentine Simon Benitez Cruz hesitated and winger Elliott Obatoyinbo kept his distance, Isgro pounced.
He barged ahead of Benitez Cruz 10 metres out to nudge the ball downfield, and with Obatoyinbo caught flat-footed, Isgro had the momentum to outsprint his opposite number and nonchalantly gather the ball over the tryline to score.
"Has Lionel Messi just descended on Twickenham Stoop?" said TNT Sports commentator Jamie Lyall.
"The dynamism and the dexterity, the poise and the panache, and the Argentine with the biggest wingspan in north London has just pulled off the outrageous."

It is Isgro’s first score of the season in a Harlequins shirt after he recorded six tries in his debut campaign at the Twickenham Stoop, and the perfect way to sign off for his club ahead of the Quilter Nations Series.
Both Isgro and Benitez Cruz will hope to be involved as Argentina face England, Wales and Scotland, all live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Both players were invited to a 34-player training camp in London, and though head coach Felipe Contepomi will only reveal his final squad for the Quilter Nations Series when the camp is complete, Isgro’s heroics against Newcastle can only have boosted his hopes of remaining in the Test squad.
"Never give up on a rugby ball," added TNT Sports pundit and former Newcastle Falcon Tom May.
"You have got no idea where it is going to bounce or what it might do. It is a good kick from Porter, makes life really tough for the Newcastle defence. And one Argentinian in Benitez Cruz was just slightly asleep."

Isgro’s try clinched the bonus point for Harlequins in a 52-14 rout of Newcastle, a scoreline that still flattered the visitors who only got on the scoresheet in the 75th minute through Ollie Leatherbarrow before Murray McCallum added another consolation try with the clock in the red.
Luke Northmore, Porter, Will Evans, Cassius Cleaves and George Turner all touched down for Harlequins alongside a brace for Tyrone Green, while Marcus Smith nailed six conversions out of eight after he was included alongside fly-halves George Ford and Fin Smith - who impressed on Friday against Saracens - in Steve Borthwick’s England training squad.
It is an important win for Isgro’s side, who had notched only one other triumph in the 2025/26 PREM Rugby campaign from four games ahead of facing Newcastle Red Bulls.
An impressive 20-14 Derby Weekend victory over Saracens had been the lone ray of light as Harlequins had failed to pick up a losing bonus point in losses to Bath and Leicester Tigers before they were humiliated 38-0 by a rampant Exeter Chiefs side last time out at Sandy Park.
