LISOWSKI PRODUCES COMEBACK TO REACH FINAL AND WIN ÂŁ150,000
Jack Lisowski played the match of a lifetime to stun five-time Welsh Open winner John Higgins 6-5 and claim the ÂŁ150,000 Home Nations Series bonus.
Higgins started out the stronger of the two with some stellar long pots to make it 3-1 going into the interval.
But Lisowski came back transformed to take three unanswered frames, capping off the last with a century of 138.
He was braver with his potting options, and had clearly settled into the match as he pulled into the lead for the first time.Â
Despite Higgins rallying to force a deciding frame, Lisowski’s quality and confidence shone to seal a fairytale win.Â
With this victory, he surpasses Mark Allen for prize money across the Home Nations to win the mammoth BetVictor bonus.
On Sunday, Lisowski moves on to the final to face Barry Hawkins, who beat Wu Yize 6-4 earlier this afternoon.

It's an opening disaster for Higgins, an error sees the red land right between the cue ball and the pocket for Lisowski to scoop up.
HIGGINS 3-3 LISOWSKI
Lisowski makes it all level with a second big visit! Not a century either, but this is much more encouraging stuff from the Northern Ireland Open winner.

It's becoming a rather awkward table, things are migrating towards the left.
HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI (18-43)
Tidy work from Lisowski now, still a little shaky on position it's but better than his other visit. He takes 17, useful but only if he gets to return.
HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI (18-26)
Lisowski gets an awful shot but is lucky to avoid leaving anything easy. Higgins has a tricky rest shot that gets kept out by the jaws.
HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI (5-26)
Unfortunately, it's only 26 for Lisowski. He gets out of position, and doesn't manage to recover. Higgins back with a scoring visit.
HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI (4-6)
Higgins now miscues, hitting the pink and leaving the door open for Lisowski - he pots.
HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI (4-0)

HIGGINS 1-0 LISOWSKI
Higgins takes the first frame, helped along by his opening break of 41.

Higgins v Lisowski in second semi-final
Welcome to the evening session in Llandudno, with John Higgins and Jack Lisowski meeting for the right to face Barry Hawkins in the Welsh Open final.
Plenty to play for in its own right, but Lisowski also knows victory would secure him the ÂŁ150,000 BetVictor Home Nations Series bonus.
HAWKINS FENDS OFF WU COMEBACK TO ADVANCE TO FINAL
Barry Hawkins was elated to move into his second Welsh Open final after a rollercoaster of a match against Wu Yize.Â
It was a brilliant start from Hawkins, who showed consistency against Wu’s mistakes to go 4-1 ahead in a flash.Â
But from the fifth frame, on the back of a Hawkins miscue, Wu seemed to settle into the match. He found form to take the next three in stellar fashion, making his 52nd century of the season in the eighth.
The ninth frame started with a stalemate after Wu left the black in the jaws of the left corner, prompting both to play safety after safety until a re-rack was called.
It seemed like Wu was going to power his way to a fourth consecutive frame, but a big miss on the black saw Hawkins come back to steal.
Wu looked shaken by that mistake, and his performance in the final frame was error-ridden to allow Hawkins to take the match and celebrate with a fist pump.

Hawkins pots a red and the yellow, but then misses! Wu needs two snookers.
WU 4-5 HAWKINS (4-58)
Hawkins has snookered Wu, who can't afford to foul. They each miss a shot, but haven't seemed to leave anything on.
WU 4-5 HAWKINS (4-57)
Hawkins picks out a lovely shot to get back into scoring position. One of his reds looked like a near miss, and he's low on his shot on the black. He pots it anyway, but somehow he seems to be in trouble.
Hawkins has a very difficult angle on a red to the left corner pocket, and he nails it! But he's not on for a colour and goes for a safety to end.
There are still enough points on the table for Wu.
WU 4-5 HAWKINS (4-32)
Hawkins pots a sensational red! But oh what a shame, he misjudges his next red and his cue ball rolls into the yellow corner.
WU 4-5 HAWKINS (0-24)
Hawkins pulls his lead to 24, but his effort to split the pack has gone awry, and he plays the safety.
WU 4-5 HAWKINS (0-6)

WU 4-5 HAWKINS
It's a fantastic clearance from Hawkins to put himself back in front!
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (59-42)
Wu needs two to secure the frame, Hawkins needs everything. The Englishman pots the yellow, then the green, and he looks in decent position to steal this frame.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (59-37)
Hawkins was playing very well positionally, but then he makes an error on the last red. It still drops into the pocket, but his cue ball is not where he needs it to be and he plays for the safety.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (59-8)
Wu overcuts a black and now Hawkins will fight for this frame.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (52-0)
Any hope that Hawkins had of Wu losing his momentum with the rerack seems to have evaporated. Wu plays another great cannon to split the pack and extend his run.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
What a brilliant shot, Wu nails another long red and gets himself into position for the black off Hawkins' safety.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (0-0)
Here we go again.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
It's a close shave for Hawkins, he nearly rolls the blue in and Wu now has a shot. He misses that long red, and finally the players call for a rerack!
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
Does Hawkins have a shot? He takes the long pot - and misses! The stalemate continues.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
It's been ten minutes since the last pot, and everything is travelling off to the sides now. The brown and blue are now up at the yellow corner, and the right side of the table is empty.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
Both players are showing off some great safeties, the black is blocking off the left corner pocket and it seems like all the reds are migrating there.
WU 4-4 HAWKINS (9-0)
Hawkins levels up a long red, and it's a mile off! He's not potted since the seventh frame, and he's left Wu on. Wu jumps on the opportunity, but gets distracted by a cannon and leaves the black in the mouth of the left corner pocket.
BACK IN SHAPE
It seems Wu's form is back, and this long pot from the sixth frame was one of the highlights.

WU 4-4 HAWKINS
Wu pots another great plant to keep his century hopes alive, and with a black he makes his 52nd ton of this season. He moves on to the clearance, sinks a very difficult shot on the brown to pull applause from the crowd, then bobbles the blue. They draw level!
WU 3-4 HAWKINS (61-0)
Wu sees a plant in the pack up to the left middle, and he will take it instead of splitting the reds. It's bold and it's good, and now he is rewarded for his efforts with an open pack.
WU 3-4 HAWKINS (29-0)
Wu pots again, and Hawkins now is the one needing an error from his opponent. He's making up for his previous errors now and it seems the interval has done him some good.
WU 3-4 HAWKINS
What a result! Wu plays into the pack, they scatter, and the red drops in. Wu rolls the white in on his next red but he's already secured the frame, and he's brought the deficit down to one.
WU 2-4 HAWKINS (67-0)
It seems like Wu has finally settled in, he's still got some work to do to split the remainder of the pack. It doesn't appear that it's worked out for him though, will he try a very difficult plant or play for the safety?
WU 2-4 HAWKINS (7-0)
Wu scores first, he needs this blue to go in and he plays it well. Is this the turning point?
FANTASTIC ACCURACY
Hawkins' consistency has shone here between him and Wu, have a look at this great shot in the fifth frame.

WU 2-4 HAWKINS
It's a frame-winning visit from Wu this time round to give the youngster some relief. The match is still very much in Hawkins' favour, but Wu has come alive in this last frame.
WU 1-4 HAWKINS (55-12)
Wu nails a very thin pot on a red to the green corner, and it's looking much better now. Hawkins has undoubtedly been dominant and the more consistent of the two, but Wu has made some excellent recoveries to put himself back in with a chance.
WU 1-4 HAWKINS (25-12)
Hawkins miscues! He tries to go low on the cue ball, but he chips it instead and the Englishman is having a look at his cue in his chair.
Wu really needs this to go his way, he's only made one break above 30 points so far. He's on a bad line on the black, he'll try for it and it's good! Now he has to see if there's a red open, the white is right under the pack and it'll be narrow. But it's nicely done and exactly what Wu needs to boost his confidence.
WU 1-4 HAWKINS (1-1)
Wu pots one red, but misses on the yellow. He did come back from four behind yesterday against Jiang Jun, but he has to hope that Hawkins makes errors.
WU 1-4 HAWKINS
Hawkins leads by three! Two more to reach the final.
WU 1-3 HAWKINS (0-70)
A few more needed to make it four for Hawkins, and he isn't letting up. He's looking better and better and Wu will start to be in real trouble now. Efficient work from the Englishman.
WU 1-3 HAWKINS (0-9)
Hawkins rolls the cue ball to the cushion for his next shot on the red, he makes the difficult shot but with the black covered, he plays a safety.
WU 1-3 HAWKINS (0-1)
And we're back! Wu's typical long pot form has been nowhere to be seen, will it show itself after the break?
JUST A SMALL WOBBLE
Hawkins rolls in the cue ball but it didn't matter as he holds firm in the third frame to retake the lead.
'It's all happening there' - Hawkins sees red wriggle in two jaws and white drop in middle
Video credit: TNT Sports
WU 1-3 HAWKINS
Interesting, Wu comes out his chair! Hawkins makes his first half-ton, then misses a straightforward shot; Wu needs two snookers and will try to gain that.
But a miss on the black sees him concede and we stop for the interval with Hawkins in the lead by two!
WU 1-2 HAWKINS (0-36)
Tricky shot for Hawkins now, he needs to find a thin angle on the black from underneath - and it's textbook. He makes a lovely shot past the blue to roll a red smoothly into the left middle after that.
WU 1-2 HAWKINS (0-15)
Wu misses another long pot, while Hawkins sinks a red easily. There's still plenty of time but we've only glimpsed confidence from Wu once in the second frame, and that came off a mistake by Hawkins.
WU 1-2 HAWKINS
Hawkins doesn't get the clearance, but he's back in front! A string of solid shots has him take this third frame with confidence.
WU 1-1 HAWKINS (18-43)
Wu is looking better on the table than he was in the first frame. He just catches a red, and now has a difficult shot to play on the black into the yellow corner. He puts too much pace on it and the black stays out after rattling around in the jaws.
Hawkins immediately steps up to pot.
WU 1-1 HAWKINS (4-42)
Hawkins is determined not to let this frame slip out of his hands, but now he's in an awkward spot. He has to cue over a red along the bottom cushion, and now he doesn't have a pottable colour. There's plenty still left on the table for Wu.
WU 1-1 HAWKINS (4-1)
The two are locked in safeties, playing the cue ball back up to baulk. Hawkins gets the first opening, a long red down to the left corner pocket, and it's in!
WU 1-1 HAWKINS (4-0)
Hawkins rolls the cue ball in again. Wu decides to play a safety.
WU 1-1 HAWKINS
The pink teeters on the edge before dropping into the pocket, Wu misses on the black but he doesn't need it to take the second frame!
WU 0-1 HAWKINS (57-53)
Two reds left on the table. Wu goes for the trickier one, a rest shot close to the right cushion, and it's in! He ties it up, sinks the brown and now he's on for the clearance.
WU 0-1 HAWKINS (20-53)
Oh and Hawkins rolls in the white! Wu lines up the long red, and it clunks solidly into the pocket. The table looks good for him to steal the frame if he can keep the cue ball in the right places.
WU 0-1 HAWKINS (0-53)
Hawkins looks much more settled than Wu on the table. It's still very early in this match, and Hawkins has just had to end his visit after the respot black blocked off his red.
WU 0-1 HAWKINS (0-14)
Only 13 and we are back in a safety battle. There's a long red open for Wu into the left corner pocket, but he misses! It rolls over to the opposite pocket, and Hawkins easily picks it up there.
WU 0-1 HAWKINS (0-7)
Hawkins is the first to pot again. How far can he take this visit?
WU 0-1 HAWKINS
Hawkins pots again, and this time he forces Wu to concede. Hawkins takes the opening frame!
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (19-64)
Ah what a shame, Wu finds himself in a bind as the cue ball comes to rest directly underneath the black. He needed a colour and he won't get it.
Wu will need a snooker now, but it hasn't seemed to deter him as he pots another fantastic long red on his next visit.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (4-64)
Lovely safeties from Wu, he rests the cue ball right against the top cushion. Hawkins' response isn't quite as good, and Wu knocks in a long red dead centre of the pocket. He has to get on the high colours if he wants to steal this frame.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-64)
Wu misses a shot into the left middle, and Hawkins gets the chance to pot again. But he looks frustrated as he finds himself with nothing again, and has to resort to a safety.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-59)
Hawkins makes a small error, he chooses to cannon the cue ball into the pack but it just doesn't go his way. He plays a safety instead.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-47)
Wu leaves a red on along the bottom cushion and Hawkins takes it. He's racking up a good lead with the black now, and he's got lovely positioning to pick off the pack.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-22)
He picks off the few reds near the black, but then ends up out of position and plays a safety to end.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-6)
What a start, Hawkins immediately lines up a long red, and it goes straight into the left corner pocket.
WU 0-0 HAWKINS (0-0)
Wu breaks for the opening frame, it's best of 11 today.
