The next stop on the 2026/27 World Snooker Tour will see the China Open return for the first time since 2019. The event was taken off the calendar following the Covid-19 Pandemic, but now some of the sport’s biggest names will battle it out for the trophy and a massive prize pool again.

Neil Robertson came out on top six years ago, producing an emphatic performance in the final to beat Jack Lisowski 11-4.
The Australian will face stiff competition this month, with Judd Trump flying high following his triumph at the 2026 Shanghai Masters.
A host of other big names will be ready and waiting to test themselves against the best, and with that in mind, here is everything you need to know to catch all the action.
When is the China Open?
The 2026 China Open will get underway on Saturday, August 8, with the final scheduled for Sunday, August 16.
It will be played at the Riverside Sports Centre in Taiyuan, China.

Will Ronnie O'Sullivan play at the China Open?
Ronnie O'Sullivan is scheduled to compete at the 2026 China Open.
The Rocket reached Round 2 of the Shanghai Masters, but he was eliminated after suffering a 6-4 defeat against Kyren Wilson.
Who is playing at the China Open?
O'Sullivan is not the only big name who will compete at the Riverside Sports Centre this month.
The 2019 champion, Robertson, will be there, as will three-time winner Mark Selby, who stormed to victory in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Trump will also be hoping to become a three-time winner of the event this month, while Mark Williams is targeting a fourth China Open win.
Shaun Murphy will go head-to-head with Matthew Selt in the opening round, with John Higgins and Zhao Xintong also scheduled to be involved.
