There will be no rest for Judd Trump, who will be on the exhibition circuit following his loss to Mark Williams in the World Championship semi-finals.

Trump admitted to being second best in all departments as Williams secured a 17-14 win to set up a meeting with Zhao Xintong.

Alan McManus felt in the handshake that Trump knew he had been beaten by the better player.

"Judd had the look in his face of a guy who thought, ‘You know what, pal, you were better than me,'" McManus said.

World No. 1 Trump had control of the final at one stage when leading 7-3 but, as McManus suggested, felt Williams was the stronger player.

"It was a tough game," Trump told TNT Sports. "I think Mark played the better of us over the four sessions, so in the end he was just a bit too strong for me.

"In all departments he was that bit better, a bit more clinical when he had his chances.

"I did not have my top, top form against Mark and that is what I needed. You have to play your best to beat someone as good as him."

Trump ended the campaign with three titles to his name, 107 centuries - which secured him a £100,000 bonus - and the No. 1 ranking in the world.

"It has been a consistent campaign from start to finish," Trump said. "I think I tried my best every single event and very consistent, so overall I’m very happy with the season."

Asked if a holiday was on the horizon, Trump said: "I have got a few exhibitions lined up over the next month, so there is no real break, which I’d rather have a few days off now.

"More and more snooker and come back next season and go again."
