With just the world's top 16 players invited to participate, the Players Championship offers a £385,000 prize pool with £125,000 going to the eventual champion. After a brilliant season so far, Northern Irishman and World No. 3 Mark Allen was the top seed. The lack of some big names pened the door for other players to win the illustrious event.
