Reanne Evans chases first women's World Snooker Championship since 2019 after reaching final with win over Ng On Yee

The Dudley player defeated second seed Ng on Yee 5-1 on Monday after completing a 4-0 win over Narantuya Bayarsaikhan in the quarter-finals.

Evans produced breaks of 63, 52 and 50 in Dongguan in the last eight with three more 50+ breaks enough to see off three-time winner On Yee.

She will face world Under-21 champion Panchaya Channoi of Thailand, who completed a 5-3 win over 2022 winner Mink Nutcharut 5-3 in the other semi-final, boosted by a 72 and a 57.

TNT Sports pundit Evans is the most prolific winner of the tournament, with 12 victories between 2005 and 2019.

Fellow English players Allison Fisher (7) and Kelly Fisher (5) make up the all-time top three.

On Yee had secured her spot in the last four with a 4-2 win over Liu Ziling. Meanwhile, defending champion Bai Yulu's bid for a third successive victory was ended by defeat to Channoi, who edged the decider after opening with a break of 74.

Mink also completed a 4-1 win over fellow Thai player Narucha Phoemphul with a top break of 60 in the quarter-finals.

The best-of-11 frame final takes place on Tuesday at 05:00.
