It’s men’s semi-final day at the 2026 Australian Open on Friday, with the top four seeds battling for a place in the final.
World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is looking to become the youngest man to complete the career Grand Slam.
The 22-year-old faces Alexander Zverev in the semis with their head-to-head record locked at 6-6.
Alcaraz has won three of the last four meetings, though, including when they last met in 2025, on hard courts in Cincinnati.
"I've watched his matches through the tournament, it was impressive the level he's been playing so far, so it's going to be a great battle," said Alcaraz.
"I know that he's serving pretty well. He's playing really solid and aggressive when he can in the rallies from the baseline.
"I will be ready, for sure. I'm excited about playing him here at the Australian Open in a semi-final. So I know what I have to do.
"I will be well prepared for that match, and if he wants to beat me, he has to sweat a lot."
Alcaraz hasn’t dropped a set on his way to reaching his first Australian Open semi-final, while Zverev has been taken to four sets in four of his five matches.

The second semi-final sees 10-time champion Novak Djokovic take on world No. 2 Jannik Sinner, who is looking to win the title for the third year in a row.
Sinner has bossed the recent meetings with Djokovic, winning the last five in a row, and has looked in excellent form in Melbourne, aside from an injury scare in the third round.
Djokovic got "lucky" in the quarter-finals as opponent Lorenzo Musetti retired when leading by two sets to love.
On facing Sinner, Djokovic said: "He's just playing on such a high level right now, along with Carlos. They're the two best players in the world.
