Marta Kostyuk comes out on top in the all-Ukrainian showdown to reach her first ever Grand Slam semi-final.
The 15th seed remains undefeated on clay as she stretches her winning streak to 17 matches and snaps her compatriots run of 10.
The 23-year-old lands an ace as she serves out to love to claim the victory in one hour and 49 minutes.
Svitolina was aiming to complete the set of appearances at all four Majors, but her quarter-final woes at Roland-Garros continued here as she came up short for the SIXTH time.
Kostyuk will now face Mirra Andreeva in the last four.

Elina somehow counter punches her way out of trouble to stave off one, but Marta shows incredible reflexes to angle away a volley after a rasping backhand pass attempt clipped the tape and changed trajectory.

Marta looks perplexed as a deep, forehand sears long and her mood darkens when Svitolina stoops low at the forecourt to palm a lovely forehand to the opposite line from where Kostyuk is standing.
Elina scorches a return just wide to give the 15th seed hope from 0-30 but a forehand volley well wide sums up Kostyuk’s lack of clarity at present and sees her surrender serve a bit too cheaply.

Elina refuses to make another slow start and an excellent volley and a huge crosscourt forehand secure the hold to kick off Set 2.

Svitolina misses out as she fails to keep her forehand on the island and Kostyuk finally secures a set point when she forces the error on the stretch from a massive forehand down the line.
Elina retorts with a wonderful drop-shot/lob combo but Kostyuk earns the second SP with a deep volley before a 1-2 punch does just enough to seal a 41-minute opener.
