Coco Gauff battled back from a set down to beat world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-7(5) 6-2 6-4 in the French Open final. After the match, the 21-year-old thanked her team, fans and family before quoting Californian rapper Tyler, The Creator. However, Sabalenka was upset and apologised for what she described as a "terrible" final. It was the first time that Gauff had lifted the famous trophy.

Coco Gauff thanked the Court Philippe-Chatrier crowd for helping her get over the line during her 6-7(5) 6-2 6-4 win over Aryna Sabalenka in the French Open final.
Gauff battled back from a set down to overcome the world No. 1 and triumph at Roland-Garros for the first time in her career.
The victory means she has now claimed two Grand Slams at just 21 years old, adding to her 2023 US Open crown.
Gauff quoted Californian rapper Tyler, The Creator after the win and admitted she had her doubts ahead of the final.
"I want to thank my team," she said. "You are always pushing me. I know sometimes I'm not easy to work with, but thank you for everything you do. I appreciate you guys.
"I also want to thank my parents - from washing my clothes to keeping me grounded, you always believed in me. You guys are the reason I do this and inspire me more than anything.

"I want to thank the crowd, too. You really helped me today, you were cheering so hard and I don't know what I do to deserve so much love from the French crowd, but merci beaucoup.
"I didn't think I could do it, but I'm going to quote Tyler, The Creator, who said, 'If I ever told you I had a doubt inside me, I must be lying'. I'll leave you with that."
Sabalenka is yet to win the French Open during her career despite having three other Grand Slam triumphs to her name.
This was also her first appearance in the final, with her best performance in previous years coming in 2023, when she was eliminated in the semi-finals.
Despite a solid showing in the opening set and the best outing at the French Open of her career so far, Sabalenka apologised for her performance.

"Honestly guys, this one hurts so much, especially after such a tough two weeks playing great tennis under these terrible conditions," she said.
"To show such terrible tennis in the final does really hurt, but it's okay. Anyway, congratulations to Coco. In these tough conditions, you were a better player than me. Well done on a great two weeks.
"Congratulations on a second Grand Slam, it is well-deserved. You are a fighter and a hard worker, so congratulations to you and your team.
"Thank you [to my team] for the support. I'm sorry for this terrible final. As always, I will come back stronger."
