Arthur Fery to consult Emma Raducanu following memorable Wimbledon run that ended in defeat to Alexander Zverev

British sensation Arthur Fery says he will consult the likes of compatriot Emma Raducanu following a memorable Wimbledon run that ended in defeat to Germany's Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals on Friday.

Fery was a wildcard entrant to the Wimbledon draw, but lit up his home tournament with a stirring run to the last four, defeating the likes of Grigor Dimitrov and French Open finalist Flavio Cobolli along the way.
The 23-year-old can now not only expect a huge leap in the world rankings, but also in expectations, from the British public and wider tennis fans.
Fery, who was ranked 114th in the world prior to Wimbledon, is not the first Brit to have experienced such a monumental breakout run, with Emma Raducanu the most obvious example.
Raducanu won the 2021 US Open as a qualifier aged just 18, and saw her profile skyrocket overnight.
Asked in his post-match press conference whether he'll "tap into" the likes of Raducanu for support, Fery said: "The first part of it is having good people around me who are going to help me in that transition.
"Yeah, Emma or guys like [Valentin] Vacherot. He's done an incredible job. He went from 200 to winning a Masters. Suddenly it almost seemed like his base level switched overnight. Now that seems like his everyday level.
"Guys like that, try and take from what they've done and do the same."
Fery revealed what element of his unforgettable Wimbledon he will savour the most.
"I'm most proud of how I handled the progression of the tournament and how I kept going in every match," he said.
"It would have been easy to just, for example, let Zizou Bergs run away with his two breaks in the fourth [set, in the third round] and go on holiday and come back.
"I just kept fighting, came back to the match court every time and gave my best. I was mentally locked in. I lacked a bit of that today. It might have been just a step too far. The opponent was a step up again.
"That's what I was most proud of, never letting go and really pushing myself to the limit."

If that was Fery's encouraging take on his fortnight, then there were positive words from the other side of the net too, as Zverev was asked for his verdict on the Briton.
"He's at a good level," the German said. "I think he's still at the start of his career, for sure.
"I think his game is very, very good. I think he has a lot of things in his game that he can still improve, which is a positive thing, because he just made semi-finals of Wimbledon for the first time.
"He probably still feels the same way; he has a lot of things that he can still do a bit better. That's a massive compliment, I feel like, because if you're complete and that's your ceiling, then you know that's your ceiling.
"If you know that you're just starting and you're making semi-finals of slams, that's positive."
The size differential between Fery and Zverev was noticeable, with the pair standing 5'9" and 6'6" respectively.

Zverev was asked about the contrast in styles and how he would construct his game were he of shorter height.
"I think you just style your game a bit different," he said. "Me, I have to work a lot harder than maybe shorter players with my physicality.
"I think for taller guys, tennis is a bit more of a difficult sport because physically it's more demanding, because, you know, he [Fery] probably weighs, what, 70, 72, 73 kilos. I'm walking around at 96 kilos. That's 20-plus kilos. Just those things I have to work harder.
"He probably has to work harder at finding power, finding an easier way to win points."
