The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a 4-1 victory in the 2024 World Series after pulling off a remarkable comeback to beat The New York Yankees 7-6 in the final game at Yankee Stadium.
The visitors were 5-0 down thanks in part to home runs from Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr and Giancarlo Stanton.
However, the hosts capitulated in the field during the fifth inning, conceding five runs to allow the Dodgers back into it.
Stanton helped the Yankees restore a slender one-run advantage, but the Dodgers responded with two of their own in the penultimate innings to wrap up the win and the series.
The World Series triumph is The Dodgers' second in five years after they won the 2020 edition with a 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy believes their second title has silenced any critics.

The Yankees managed to gain a foothold in the series with an emphatic 11-4 victory in Game 4, but it was not enough as The Dodgers won their eighth World Series.
The Dodgers were only able to have small-scale celebrations in 2020 after ending their 12-year wait for a World Series.
However, manager Dave Roberts joked that the party would be far bigger this time around.
"Who wants a parade?" he shouted after the match.
