The Jamaica Kingsmen were looking to pick up a win on their CPL debut as the newest franchise in the division, and could not have come closer to doing so.
Chasing down The Kingsmen's innings of 167, The Falcons began the final over needing six from six balls.
Hunain Shah had the ball in hand for The Kingsmen and conceded two runs off his first delivery as Shamar Springer drove to wide long-off, before pushing another ball to long-off for a single.
It looked rosy so far for the Falcons, but The Kingsmen’s chances of victory were given a boost when Jahmar Hamilton got right underneath Shah’s next delivery, sending the ball into the hands of captain Powell at long-on.
The nerves noticeably began to creep in for The Falcons with three balls remaining, as they chased three runs for victory, as Shah made it two wickets in two balls, removing Usama Mir for a golden duck as his lofted drive was caught by Hassan Khan at deep point.

The incoming Alzarri Joseph restored some order for The Falcons with the penultimate ball, punching Shah’s full toss to long-on for a single and setting up a frantic final ball.
"We want two [runs] from one [ball]," exclaimed the TNT Sports commentator.
"Mr. [Paul] Nixon [Falcons head coach], he's got no more hair to pull out!"
As Springer sent Shah's full-pitched final delivery to long-on, the batting pair desperately set off, with the TNT Sports commentary team agog at what followed.
"Got to run it! Can they get back? Oh, it's a fumble! The captain!
"And they [The Falcons] have won it with a fumble from Rovman Powell. Those in blue are out of their seats in the dugout and there are high fives everywhere.
"The fumble from Rovman Powell has allowed The Falcons to get up off the last ball and win it by two wickets!"
The TNT Sports co-commentator added: "Oh my word. If there was one fielder you wanted the ball to go to, it was Rovman Powell. He's been outstanding in the field all night.
"It just shows you... pressure can do the funniest things to even the most experienced."
