The European T20 Premier League is upon us, and it is time to delve into all the details around cricket's newest competition. Some stellar names have signed up for a month of action in Ireland and the Netherlands.

Featuring six city-based franchises - representing Glasgow, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast and Rotterdam - the European T20 Premier League is a new tournament.
It will comprise 32 matches, bringing together emerging European talent and internationally renowned players in a world-class franchise competition.
How to watch the ETPL
The 2026 European T20 Premier League will be shown live in the UK and Ireland on TNT Sports and its streaming home HBO Max.
The tournament begins on Wednesday, August 26 and runs until Sunday, September 20.

What is the format?
The competition will begin with a league stage, with the first set of matches (Aug 26–Sep 6) set to be played in Voorburg, Netherlands.
The second leg of matches will be played in Malahide, Ireland (Sep 9–20), to include the 'qualifier' knockout game and the final.
What are the teams?
There are six teams in the inaugural edition of the ETPL: the Amsterdam Flames, the Belfast Wolves, the Dublin Guardians, the Edinburgh Castle Rockers, the Glasgow Cosmic and the Rotterdam Dockers.
Who is playing?
A raft of famous names have signed up for the tournament bow, among them Steve Smith and Mitch Marsh (both Flames), Glenn Maxwell (Wolves), Ravichandran Ashwin (Guardians), Kamindu Mendis and Liam Livingstone (both Cosmic), and Trent Boult (Castle Rockers).
The squads are expected to be fully completed in the coming days.
