Paris-Roubaix Femmes 2025 LIVE - Pauline Ferrand-Prévot seals an incredible comeback victory on the cobbles

It's an historic day for the home crowd as Pauline Ferrand-Prévot seals a stunning victory at the fifth edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes, to become the first French woman to win the race. She overcame a crash heading onto sector 12 to come back to the peloton, before striking out for home with 25 kilometres remaining, and never looking back. Combining her tenacity and incredbile off-road skills, there is no denying Ferrand-Prévot's pedigree, as she notches up her first victory on the road since 2015. The reigning Olympic mountain-bike champion now sets her sights on the Tour de France.

Speaking after her victory, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot said: 'I was confident that the team could do something really good. But you also needed to have some luck and to put everything together. So yeah, it was a great day for us.

'3rd in Strade Biance, we took the second place in Milano-Sanremo, last weekend second in Flanders and now winning Roubaix... I didn't expect this, to be honest. Also, I was not planned for Flanders and Roubaix and because I felt good, I say, yeah, why not? I want to try. And it was also good training, you know, to get in position also for the first stage of Tour de France , because it will be quite hectic in Bretagne. So I wanted to take this racing as a training so yeah, it's not too bad, I guess, and I really enjoy my comeback on the road. And yeah, I'm really happy.

'Tour de France is the main goal of the season, so I really want to be 100% for Tour de France. And want to try to win Tour de France within three years. So, I think, we’re on the good step. And we are building something very strong together as a team. And, yeah, I just love my teammates so I have the best time ever with them.'

Visma-Lease A Bike rode this race to perfection. Though prior to the race, they said they were all in for Vos, the Dutch rider's marking of Lotte Kopecky as she attacked through sectors 13 and 12 arguably ensured that her teammate could ride herself back into the race. A great performance also from Sophie von Berswordt, and the team recovered incredibly well after the crash of Linda Riedmann to regroup. A great day for the Dutch team.

An unbelievable shot - as Pauline Ferrand-Prévot crosses the line, a butterfly flies past her into shot. Definitely a moment to remember for the rider from the team nicknamed the 'bees'.

A surprise late attack from Italian rider Borghesi catches the chase group by surprise, and storms away to take second place.

Lorena Wiebes beats Marianne Vos to the line in the sprint for third place.

What an incredible performance.

The attack is neutralized, and the chase group now numbers seven riders, with Vos and Wiebes among them.

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot covers the final cobbled sector as she heads towards the Roubaix velodrome.

The expected sprint for second may not transpire, as FDJ SUEZ's Elise Chabbey attacks. Vos goes with her, and at the back of the group, Kopecky's efforts come back to bite her - she drops from the group, and Wiebes will now have to try and make her way back to the chase group alone.

5KM TO GO - FERRAND-PREVOT RIDING IT HOME

With a gap of 55 seconds over the bunch, only incident or accident now stands between Pauline Ferrand-Prévot becoming the first Frenchwoman to win Paris-Roubaix, and the first winner for Visma-Lease A Bike.

Lotte Kopecky leads the chase.

Heading onto the penultimate cobbled sector, the chase group tags Emma Norsgaard. And a crash for Pfeiffer Georgi - such terrible luck for the British rider, after a huge fight to get back earlier in the race. She's OK - but her race will be over.

Can Pauline Ferrand-Prévot dare to dream just yet? With only 10 kilometers remaining, and three cobbled sectors all rated two or one star, perhaps the victory is starting to feel within the reach of the French veteran. This has been an incredibly assured performance by the off-road specialist. She's enjoyed an excellent run of form during the spring classics and to see her crown it with a win of this magnitude would feel fitting.

With Emma Norsgaard riding in between Ferrand-Prévot and the bunch, Kopecky takes up the pace-setting in the chase group, perhaps on behalf of Lorena Wiebes, and it signals that this group may now be accepting their lot, and preparing to ride for the podium places.

Ferrand-Prévot's gap holds at 1:00.

Has the chasing group of favorites run out of steam? No major attacks have been launched so far on the cobbles and while they play it safe, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot is just stretching out her gap ever further - she's a minute ahead now and could be riding away with this. What a spectacular result this would be and an incredible reward for a fantastic spring, on her return to the women's peloton.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. It's not over yet.

The riders enter the Carrefour de l'Arbre - and Ferrand-Prévot is riding beautifully, and her gap is growing - it's up to 47 seconds now, and with just 800m to go on the final five-star sector of the day, she is looking very, very good.

Kopecky is bound to launch at some point - but when will she go? And will it be too little too late? So many questions - we will soon have our answers, but either way, Ferrand-Prévot is looking sublime today.

The French off-road superstar distances Norsgaard on the cobbles, as behind the leading duo, Canyon//SRAM-zondacrypto lead the charge - the longer this race goes on, the better that team are looking, with Dygert, Backstedt and Chiara Consonni all still present within the group.

Ferrand-Prévot is 30 seconds clear of the chasing peloton now, and she leads the race solo as she exits the cobbles - the toughest sector is just ahead of her.

With 20 kilometers to go, and a five-star sector just ahead of them, Norsgaard and Ferrand-Prévot stretch out their lead to 30 seconds. And we are onto the cobbles once again - this one is likely to be decisive.

Heading over the short sector 6 of pavé, Ferrand-Prévot is able to bridge across to Norsgaard to form a dangerous leading duo. The next two sectors are four and five-star rated, respectively. First up the Camphin-en-Pévèle, then the infamous Carrefour de l'Arbre.

The gap hovers around 20 seconds.

Lotte Kopecky is certainly not hiding in the bunch today. She leads the group, lurking at the front 20 seconds back from Emma Norsgaard who continues to lead, keeping an eye on her rivals.

But she misses the move when it comes! It's Pauline Ferrand-Prévot who attacks, for Visma-Lease A Bike.
