Confusion reigns as peloton split in half by railway crossing at Tour of Flanders to leave Tadej Pogacar and Mathieu van der Poel separated

Confusion broke out at the Tour of Flanders when the lowering of barriers at a railway crossing split the peloton to leave one group stranded and waiting for a train to pass. UAE Team Emirates riders including Tadej Pogacar were engaged in animated conversations with the race director Scott Sutherland as everyone tried to work out how to proceed.
