PUBG:BATTLEGROUNDS and Teamfight Tactics playoffs confirmed at the Esports World Cup

Group stage action continued across four tournaments in the Esports World Cup as fans watched players compete in the Teamfight Tactics, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, FC Pro World Championship, and MSC competitions.

It was the final day of group action in the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS tournament as we saw teams from Group C and Group B square off. Natus Vincere would finish first across the six series played today, with Geekay Esports finishing in second, while third went to T1.

It means that after the three days of group stage action, Mith finished top of competitors, earning 119 points, while T1 followed closely behind in second with 110, and then in third was Natus Vincere with a tally of 93.

It was also the final day of group stage action in the Teamfight Tactics tournament, with the Group A and Group B lower brackets being completed. Team Vision and Godlike Esports would progress to the playoffs as they beat T1 and Movistar Koi, respectively, from Group A. Then in Group B, Aurora Gaming and Nongshim Redforce beat Mou and Zeta Division, respectively, to progress to the playoffs.

In the playoffs tomorrow, Wanin Flashwolves will face Nongshim Redforce, and the winner will square off with either Virtus.Pro or Team Vision in the semi-final.

On the other side of the playoff draw Weibo Gaming will square off with Aurora Gaming, with the winner playing against AG.AL or Godlike Esports in the semi-final.

Then in the MSC tournament we saw the first bit of action from Group B, as there were four fixtures, the first being between Selangor Red Giants and Pro Esports, with the latter progressing to the next round of the upper bracket. They will face Yangon Galacticos in the next round of the upper bracket after they beat Geekay Esports.

On the other side of the upper bracket, ONIC and Aurora Gaming progressed to face each other in the next round of the upper bracket as they beat Entity7 and Team Liquid, respectively.

After the second day of the FC Pro World Championship, there are only two teams that have a perfect record in the competition: RBLZ Gaming and Bonanno.

The rest of the top five in the competition at present sees Nassada sitting in third, having lost one of their four fixtures, while fourth and fifth have the same record with Samugamer and Alihanlion occupying these positions, respectively.
